2013 Headliners

I'm not entirely sure, but I think the 'mainstream Sunday' thing has mainly come about because Michael got fed up with getting hassled on the street by locals about some of the bands he'd served up for those locals with Sunday tickets. If I'm remembering rightly, firstly it was that they didn't think Basement Jaxx was a big enough replacement for when Kylie had to cancel, and then Muse was the final straw (they pissed off loads of normal ticket holders too, prior to the event; these forums were full of posts from people who didn't think them big enough before they played; tho afterwards the opinions were different cos they nailed it).

Just to make it clear - locals don't get free Sunday tickets. However, locals in Pilton and some of the surrounding villages do get free weekend tickets.

I find it hard to believe Eavis would let this one pass by, and Jagger's just been in the press talking about how much he loves being on stage and how he can't wait to play in 2013, his better nature is apparently there to be appealed to.

They aren't even active anymore really. If you can't see Pulp not playing then you perhaps ought to choose a new perspective. It's not a definite that they wont play, but it's an extremely long shot, massively unlikely.

Jarvis said they've got nothing planned in 2013, I don't think he'd outright lie, he'd be more coy about it. A Glastonbury headline performance probably would bring them back for one last bonanza if they were approached, but so far it doesn't look like they have been, and it's currently unlikely they will be.
