Not sure if there is one catchy song on new Muse album! Madness is shocking, as is Survival, Supremacy and panic Station sounds like they've tried to do a kinda guitar riff techno/bass and failed badly. They are less Glasto than anything at the minute

Obviously they're not gonna play Glasto next year, but Supremacy's a damn site better than anything off The Resistance, and they headlined after that.

Plus there's nothing techno about Panic Station, it's funk.

I know that it is probably past them now but I would love to see The Prodigy grabbing a headline slot on the Pyramid. I know they were on the other stage in 09 but they will have a new album out, have done enough to warrant it in my opinion and would bring a bit of edge (not The Edge U2) back to the Pyramid which it has sorely lacked in recent years.

Your hate for the resistance is misplaced, it is probs the worse muse album but its far from the hate it gets. (Apart from fecking Guiding Light)...This new stuff so far has been terrible, not been impressed with the newer new stuff from clips either but I'll reserve judgement until Itunes next weekend (Sadly atm looks like I'll be watcing on my PC mind!)

I was a little bit disappointing with their set in 2009. I was with my dad and he insisted to stay at the back and refused to go to the front where the real action was. Then he said he was bored and insisted that we go and watch Echo and The Bunnymen who were played a dismal performance. Should've seen Blur all along, but what a year for headliners though!

Rolling Stones, Macca, Fleetwood Mac all touring in 2013. So that's the headliners sorted for those of us who like to overdose on 60s stuff.

As far as the Killers are concerned, Hot Fuss was a really good album but since then their albums have all had like one good song on (at best) each. The first few albums were all only like a year apart so didn't feel like too much of a lull, but it's been like four years between last album and this one, and like 7 year since the properly good one.

I'd see them if they were playing but I don't know if them headlining now would be as good as them headlining a few years ago when they really seemed on a hot streak.

The best Killers album by a long way is sams town, 100x better than hot fuss but it does take a plenty of listening to get it.

Maybe you have to listen to it so many times that your brain turns into mush.

To each their own, and I agree Killers are a possibility. I just think it would be a weak headliner in a year of high expectation.
