Completely understandable! There's 175,000 who go, not everyone has the same tastes, for example i wasn't a fan of any headliners last year on Pyramid, but it was full every night!

But compare him to The Streets, Glasvegas and DJ Shadow from 2011, and arguably he's bigger than DJ Shadow or Glasvegas, and well I feel i might cause more conflict if i say he's bigger than The Streets, so i'll leave that one. He'd be up against Tinie Tempah or Arcade Fire on the example given, I'm not a fan of either, so i'd choose Frank again with 175,000 there, he'd pull a crowd! He has songs which are pleasers and a lot of catchy ones so sorry, I do have to disagree, but then again, maybe it's because I'm Bias, after all I go everywhere to see him!

But it feels like you're dislike seems to be more for the person himself than his music. Myself, well i like to make myself as ignorant as possible to Politics because it's just such a depressing topic and situation, which causes arguments (not in my ethics to argue!) I could defend him to the highhill but, opinions are opinions and he would be a good John Peel Headliner.

And Olly Murs *shudders*, he will probably draw a bigger crowd than Leonard Cohen if he plays.

Cher Lloyd, One Direction are Pop. I acknowledge that you dislike the man and his music. My Point being that he could easily Headline a smaller stage like JPT, and i'd say his recent album will probably be his peak if not, the ultimately the next.

He'll always be welcome at the festival as he's very good friends with Billy Bragg, who influences heavily, if not completely the LeftField stage if i'm correct. So i guess it's just a debate which no one will ever really win! But lets get it back to Pyramid headliners.

Nothing wrong with that but I just think you're getting sex appeal mixed up with musical talent. An error I doubt the Glastonbury booking team will make.

Have you listened to his lyrics? Really? Really? Music has NO EDGE, no distinctive qualities, and there's no arguing against that. Lyrics sound like teenage chavs freestyling in a bus stop. You can hear him pat himself on the back everytime he swears, "that'll make little girls think I'm cool". Well done Frank. Well done indeed!

I cannot actually think of another band or artist I dislike. I really can't. I have a degree in music and can appreciate literally everything but am saddend that this worthless fool is taking so many easily manipulated people for a ride. It's so obvious. Almost makes me like him, his art is not music but mind control.

Nah I don't like him really. I'm an intelligent, educated male in my late twenties with impeccable taste.

Seriously girls, by a poster of him (or download it) and look at how pretty he is. Jjust please don't buy his music as it has a knock on effect and means the rest of us get forced into hearing while in a lift or at a WI coffee morning. It's not fair.

Pete Doherty committing to reunite with The Libertines is as much of a joke as him committing to actually play a show. He cancelled Glasgow last night 5 minutes before the doors opened, cancelled Inverness tonight and had to cancel T in the Park because he went into rehab. Don't think he will be making any appearances "The Libertines" or solo.

Pretty sure that most of the major festivals in Britain (mainly T and R&L) have been offering to pay him hundreds of thousands of pounds to reform every year for like the last 7 years

I went to see him at an academy venue a couple of years ago and he was being paid £6k for that he said (something to do with the curfew, if he carried on he wouldn't be paid despite arriving an hour late etc. etc.), so I'm guessing if he was in it PURELY for the money he'd have properly reformed the Libs after Reading surely? Massive tour, new album would make a decent amount.

Exactly, he would have surely done it, riding the reunion buzz that's been going around alot the past few years. Although i think these days he has no interest in performing at all. He would be best giving it up to be honest if he doesn't want to show up to gigs. Although not knowing anything about him apart from the fact he's a junkie and cancels most of his gigs then i can't say much.
