How about Green Day?

I know they are not a Glastonbury band in the traditional sense, but they are in the UK at the time. Just announced dates in June 2013. Could be an outside bet.

Still think the Archandroid is a phenomenal record, absolutely brilliant. She really badly failed to capitalise on it though, just never broke through to the next level. Think she's got the potential to be massive. She's played, what, one gig in the UK since that Glastonbury performance (Latitude this year). Wasted opportunity. Damn shame.

It'll only happen if they actually personally care about playing Glasto, want to play Glasto. Because I can't see them taking the lower money that Glasto pays without them caring.

And being the stones there's a good chance that they don't care. It's not like they've needed it up to now.

Then I saw that clip of Mick Jagger and Fergie (who I also previously had basically no respect for) and my opinion was totally reversed. In that clip you can clearly see the difference, on one stage, between people who have made money off the back of not much and people who have real talent and passion for what they do. I was blown away.

More, the energy, the enjoyment, first class. Totally changed my opinion of the stones in 6 minutes.

*edit* to be fair, it changed my opinion of the frontman.

Green Day doing stadium tour next summer - possible headliners for Pyramid?

Also Elvis Costello playing around UK at Glasto time - last time he played was 2005 and dont think he was too impressed, crowds werent great for his performance with all the flooding that year
