Just listened to Valtari the new album by Sigur Ros, in a special one hour preview they did, got me thinking that they should definitely play next year and maybe as a sub to Radiohead or Arcade Fire, if they did it would be a surreal 3 hours of music!

A lot of the mainstream and larger indie bands are releasing new material this year, wouldn't be a suprise for world tours at 2012, hopefully with stops at Glastonbury. Those who easily could headline:

The Killers

Queens of the Stone ages

Kid Cudi

The Strokes

MGMT

Bloc Party

Muse

Wolfmother (?)

Daft Punk (2012-2013)

Linkin Park

Green Day

etc etc

Daft Punks overrated pop dance is not Pyramid headlining material, or at least I hope not.

Stone Roses might be a bit over exposed by next year to be in with a chance and would be too big for the Other stage.

Portishead is a great shout by the way, be great to see them back.

If The Rolling Stones Played, I think that they'd have to play Saturday Headline, it is the slot that is considered the most prestigious. I can see them playing next year and Gaga on the Sunday. Friday will be a rock band I think (Stone Roses, Foo Fighters or The Killers)

    • 1 - Mock Media - Rat Bastard 2 - Maquina - Body Transmission 3 - Mary in the Junkyard - Role Model Hermit   Honourable mentions to The Hu - Hun, Madonna - Confessions II, and Swapmeet - Mount Zero for also being solid.   Sadly, really didn't connect with the new Yard Act, a real shame as loved their last two albums and thought this one would be a shoe-in for AOTM, but felt it was a bit too generic..
