Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis has asked Adele to headline but she's too scared to do it, he's told Metro (here).

Michael Eavis says she is too scared to face the crowd on the famous Pyramid Stage. "She knows that we want her anyway but she doesn't want to do a thing our size" the 76-year-old farmer said. "Going on the Pyramid Stage I think is a bit daunting in front of 80,000 people. ItÂ’s a bit much, really".

eFestivals thinks that if Glastonbury wants the most popular British star to headline, he should go for that dancing dog. Or perhaps he might think about booking something good instead?

Glastonbury Festival returns in June 2013. Tickets are expected to go on sale in October - we'll have the details for you when they've been confirmed.
