they're reporting his name on the radio now, as a result of being named in Parliament.

Here's betting he feels like a right dick for spunking £500k+ plus on trying to keep his name hidden and wasting his time.

Surely it's not going to be news to his wife?

It bought him time to get his excuses sorted out and deal with it with his wife prior to the red tops camping outside his house. And he can easily afford 500k.

Yep, he can afford £500k easier than most of us. It's still £500k he's pissed down the drain tho for very little purpose.

I would have thought that if the red tops are going to be camping outside his house they'll have already been doing it - after all, there's nothing in the injunction about that side of things.

And surely his wife doesn't live in the sort of bubble where none of this has been known to her for weeks. It's weeks since the story first surfaced, and his name has always been associated with this story - the only reason I've known it's about Giggs is because someone posted his name in this thread when it first broke weeks and weeks ago.

It does disturb me that this story is the biggest story of the last few weeks. It also seems like the general press are having a field day now that they are able to say his name without repercussions, when in reality anyone who wanted to find out, will have done by now. Most fans won't actually care about this as long as he keeps his performance up on the pitch.

Exactly how long did the fuss about beckham/loos last. I would say that was worse as he has used his family image to enhance his brand. No doubt there will be other scandals that make this yesterdays news.

The proof that the Loos claims are true comes from the fact that the Beckham's never tried to sue her, when they've been extremely quick to sue everyone else. Anyways....

Yep, they'll soon be a new scandal, and this one will be forgotten.

But of course that's always the situation - so why bother to try and hush it up as much as Giggs has done? After all, his name has been 'out there' for the last 6 weeks (or however long it's been since this story first broke), long long before twitter became any part of the story.

If Giggs hadn't gone after twitter and its users then what Giggs has been up to wouldn't be a story any more. His attempts to silence people has ensured that it's been shouted from the rooftops so that everyone now knows, whereas before only those people with a liking for gossip &/or football had known. The story has been on the front pages for six weeks, rather than just one day.

I'm of the general opinion that tittle-tattle gossip isn't news and the public shouldn't have a right to know by default. All the same, I'm laughing my head off at Giggs because he's been as stupid as it's possible to be, and so he deserves all that he's got.

    • There’s a few in there which could go either way or I’m not bothered if I miss but think that’s now be pretty set.  Few rubbish clashes like Kasabian/Loyle plus Reytons/Pixies/CMAT but I’ll head with the lads to the most popular one.   (And yes no Byrne or Twigs, just can’t into either)
    • I saw somewhere they were advertising Lewis' day as him live on Glagow Green and only mentioned Amy Mcdonald and CMAT as support, 0 mention of the festival  I completely agree this will probably be the last one which is a shame because the first 2 seemed so promising and now its turned into middle of the road rubbish with acts you can see everywhere else  Anyone know if the BBC are covering it next week as it'll be fascinating to see how full (or empty) it is
    • Did anyone catch Viagra Boys last night? A rollicking good set, with a little more free jazz than I expected.   if you’re up early, Walabi is doing a super job in the Cupra Pulse. There till six.

    • They really dropped a bollock on their lineup this year. They went with Richard Ashcroft because he did well as Oasis support - But realistically, you're not getting 50k people in a field to hear the 4 or 5 songs they know at like £70+ a ticket. Can't get my head around the Kasabian booking, either. Finsbury Park was a bold move for them, and yes it sold out, but I think you're more likely to see people make the journey to London if they want to see them rather than Glasgow. A second similar capacity show was always going to be a big ask for them.
