A couple of people said Pissed Jeans were awesome, but I've never been able to get into them.

Animal Collective should've been magnificent.

Instead they decided to play the entirety of their new album which no one in the world has heard beside them for an hour

Except the people who saw them play it twice at ATP a couple of weeks ago I thought they were ace to be honest but maybe I was just "in the right state of mind" by that point. And Brothersport was awesome. Well gutted that Deakin cancelled on the Sunday though.

I was having beers with an 'industry' man last night who felt strongly that the Ting Tings would be making a surprise appearance. He didn't actually know where, but it would fit the 'Park' bill.

They are sticking a camera up there as they were well gutted they missed Radiohalf last year! So its an insurance camera IMO..........Make sure nothing big happens without the Beeb being there

For people like the Ting Tings the suprise slot isn't going to be that good, half the crowd (come expecting Pulp etc.) would just walk away.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappionted, but, at the same time, I trust the Eavii to put on something special (still telling myself that it could be Arcade Fire).

I reckon if it's someone like Ting Tings it will be announced/leaked beforehand in some way shape or form like Biffy last year.

Although I still find it ammusing that there were quite a few people on here posting that they were disappointed when Biffy came on. Given all the Biffy posters about all weekend, plus the fact that the flags were everywhere in the Park and everyone else knew they were on, how they still didn't know.

so what you're saying is that you've heard a locals rumour.

Let's hope it's better than those 'cannot be doubted locals rumours' of REM and the Rolling Stones playing this year.

Over the years it's become very very clear to me that locals to Pilton have no better a handle on good and accurate info as people anywhere else in the country. That's not me saying that this rumour is definitely wrong btw, but I wouldn't give it any more credence than I would some first-time poster making a post here saying that they knew for certain that one of the guests was Pulp.
