I think you're right about that as well. I don't think they would accept subbing to U2 if it was Coldplay and The Strokes as the other headliners. If it was the Stones and The Smiths then maybe.

Pulp has been cited as an influence, though. Also, Pulp is rumoured for Sunday, which is a day Arcade Fire can't possibly play.

I think Porcelina has the best stab. Having seen them in much better venues I would not be buying a Hyde Park ticket if they were confirmed for Glasto, as it is I'm wavering.

I've resisted

Last year I saw them at Leeds festival and in Manchester in December.

I'll be off work the Weds-Mon for Glastonbury before this gig and then basically to go, I'd need a further 2days off work from the following Thurs.

Which would involve travel from Llandudno to London for this gig, then on the Friday to travel up to Middlesbrough for a friends wedding and then on the Sunday morning after the wedding trecking down to Milton Keynes for the Foo Fighters then back up to Llandudno on the Monday.

I'd love to go to Hyde Park but at £50 + all the costs of getting down to London from Wakefield, right after Glastonbury (where I probably will see them anyway), is too expensive. Beirut and Vaccines will probably play Glasto anyway, and Mumford are shit and I'd like to be as far away from them as possible.

If they play Glasto I get to see them twice, it's a win-win. Best band in the world.

Also down to play Pyramid. Happy about this, I think I am one of the few who like the rumoured headliners (U2, Coldplay, Prince, Radiohead, Pulp, etc....) so I was dreading a clash with Arcade Fire on the Other Stage

It's based on the many things said by AF in the last few days, that have both been broadcast directly or talked about indirectly.

It's 100% clear they're not headlining, but it does sound as tho they're going to be playing.
