Jimmy Eat World have been announced for Area4 festival which is the weekend before, so given their history with Reading I'd expect to see them play. I'd've thought 4th/5th down on main stage, or possibly headlining/subbing R1 given that we seem to be repating 2002.

Have Red Hot Chilli Peppers been announced for any festivals yet? they said they were playing one didnt they? with the 3 headliners being exclusives and MCR playing T In The Park, i can see MCR subbing underneath RHCP

I went to Spain rather than risk hearing them live in '07 as I knew my mates would drag me as close to the front as possible with no escape. I doubt that many people would want them back at R+L (especially as a headliner) after their performance.

Are they working on new material? If not I doubt very much they will turn up/be invited.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
