I think the only feasible one we can think about is Blur and it being kept quite very very well.

We know the top 2 pretty much we'd say with muse and strokes.

If Neil can defo rule out its true that The Prodigy are not playing?

I've no info on Blur, but I reckon that the fact that Coxon is playing solo shows rules that out.

Word I've heard is that Prodigy aren't doing UK fests this year.

This better not turn into another 2009 line-up... I couldn't care less about Strokes, Pulp or Elbow, and Muse are okay but won't get me excited. MCR and 30STM are great, but not enough - there needs to be a strong undercard that isn't full of NME bands to keep me happy. I'll probably go either way - I always have a great time there - but I still hope I get plenty of bands I like, particularly some big names and some that can really get me excited about the festival. Hopefully it'll turn out like my last poster.

I know a lot of people are dismissing them to the nme tent but what about The Offspring as headliners. They did headline Download last time.

The Offsping

My chemical Romance

30 Seconds to mars

Its looks a lot stronger than MCR and 30stm on their own

MCR and 30STM would be the worst 1-2 in my time attending Reading. I respect the fact that there are people who like them, but to put two bands on who have such a similar fan base and who invite so much derision from nearly everyone outside that fan base seems odd.

I think people are getting too caught up in the MCR chat and not looking at the bigger picture. Muse and The Strokes will put on great headlining shows. On top of that (if rumours are true) you'll have Elbow, the band most likely to do an Arcade Fire and be absolutely huge next year and rightfully so and also Pulp, one of the greatest bands this country have ever produced who will no doubt put on an amazing show with some classic hits. That four great acts so far and no one yet knows what's on the NME. All in all I recon it will be a good line up once it's all released until then we can all merely speculate.

    • Someone said something along the lines of "the lows were really low but they highs were really high" and I think that sentence sums up my ps experience this year. Thursday was a downer (even though I got to see men I trust, geese, oklou and fcukers), but the weather, the missed shows and the uncertainty (those comms...) made it a bad day. Friday and Saturday on the other hand where rly good, a bunch of amazing shows each day (The Cure one was quite something), that surprise on Saturday...   Will be back next year, hope they get another impressive lineup as this year (quality and quantity wise) and that tickets and  primarily hotels don't get much more expensive.
    • Rosalia Radiohead NIN MGMT Bjork David Byrne   Also Vince Staples' new album is cool. I could see him returning.
    • If we are guessing then I think it's   Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls   Weezer   The All-American Rejects
    • Everyone who was there has said how amazing it was so makes the excitement grow even more.  The XX and actually Kneecap were both very good too.     Roll on 3 weeks time
