Just got tickets for Junius Meyvant and even happier that Axel Flovent is supporting.

Even more impressed that the tickets were only £12.10 and etickets, no booking fee and no postage. Don't think I have paid so little for a gig ticket for 20 odd years, they are fantastic as well.

Hello feral,

Hope that you are well.

That's some achievement sorting next years Christmas out. We haven't even done our food and drink shopping for this year yet!

Easy peasy.

Panto :D

My husband wss one of 9, so never went as a kid and loves them.

My daughter has fond memories of them, but couldn't justify paying for 6 tickets.

We'd easily spend that amount on things nobody wants, so win win

Reminds me of many years ago when our work used to put on a panto every year for the social club. Used to love getting involved, but come the performances we all had too much "dutch courage", and our polished performances descended into drunken chaos. Must have been painful to watch! The after party was good fun though.

Merry Xmas all x

my old campervan getting through its MOT. :)

It's always a worry, even with our newer 2003 coach built motorhome.

Servicing just done, 2nd leisure battery connected up and Gaslow system fitted for our first trip into europe with her!

it's always a worry in mine driving anywhere.

Mostly it's OK, but last long trip I had a major water system explosion while going down the motorway and had to be saved by the AA. :(

Still, mostly it's good. Mechanic who MOT'd it today said same as others have, that it's a tidy van ... but also (he's a vw specialist) that mine has the best-sounding engine of any he works on which can't be bad for something so old.

I once read on the back of a toilet door 'Anybody would think that with all this wit, Shakespeare had been here once to sit'. Underneath was written (in a different pen and style) 'That my friend may well be true, because Shakespeare had an arsehole too'.

Talking of the Great Bard, here's a snippet of his work;

ANTONIO

If you go on thus, you will kill yourself: And 'tis not wisdom thus to second grief Against yourself.

Oh, on another occasion I read on the back of a toilet door ' What are your self imposed conditionings'?

Heavy words are so lightly thrown.

My favourite pub toilet graffiti:

I once knew a girl called Lyra or Leyla, she said make me breathless so I stole her inhaler.

Mine was spotted in a Glasgow boozer that is sadly no longer there :

" Loops a laudy, my bottom is on fire - Joan of Arc ".

Someone had taken the time to carve it into the back of a wooded cubicle door.

Just thinking that you don`t really see pub toilet graffiti anymore.............

I rarely go in to pubs anymore, so wouldn't know. Your right though, if I think back to those times when I have used a loo in a pub, I can't really recall seeing graffiti.

There was a football team in Birmingham called Minstrel Wanderers. They used to stick stickers everywhere on pub and motorways service station toilets. I used to see them everywhere, and even saw one in a service station in France. The stickers used to say Minstrel Wanderers Super Slobs. I mention it on the wild card chance that someone also remembers seeing such a sticker?

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
