The Hill of Death

Finally went up that on the way out Monday morning last year- have to say even though im far from the fittest, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, even with a fuck-ton of stuff on two hours sleep.

Good shots

Cheers. Yep, the hill isn't usually too bad. After 20 hours on your feet and a fair few beers and it somehow seems longer and steeper though. Also, it can get quite treacherous in heavy rain.

I love this thread and it's getting me all excited again :)

I was thinking about getting a decent camera soon, a little argos point and click just doesn't do it for me anymore but I cannot tell the difference between all the complicated ones around! May have to wander into a shop and ask them to point me in the right direction. I'd love to get some amazing shots of the best festival on earth.

    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
