1. The Cribs - Selling a Vibe

2. Cast - Yeah Yeah Yeah

3. Sleaford Mods - The Demise of Planet X

Read this too quick and thought The Yeah Yeah Yeahs had a new album out that I'd missed.

Don't think any will necessarily make the album of the year list but the three i've enjoyed most in February are:

Gaudi - Jazz Gone Dub

Daphni - Butterfly

Altin Gun - Garip

February was busy…

1. Nothing - A Short History of Decay

2. Ist Ist - Dagger

3. Hen Ogledd - Discombobulated

Also thoroughly enjoyed new albums by Converse, Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys, Gorillaz and Marnz Malone (technically a mix tap).

Thanks for all the different recommendations too, gave me a lot to check out!

A really wide spread of votes for February ... 12 voters, 11 different 1st place votes and 28 different albums voted for! Naturally, it was only album that received 2 '1st place' votes that ended up winning!

Anyway - here are the only albums with more than 1 vote...

We had a 4 way tie for 3rd Place (4 Points)

Ist Ist - Dagger

Ellurs album - just keeps growing on me -

I think id have rated it my number 1 in a redo - (could have saved the 4 way tie if i had done so lol)

Just in advance for next months voting -   We are not counting Warchild?  as its a compilation  or is it fair game?

I'd probably say it's fair game to be honest.

Main aim of the thread is just to capture a snapshot of what everyone's enjoying throughout the year and give recommendations on what our favourites are as it's so tough to keep up with everything all the time - if March is all about War Child for everyone, then that's what should be highlighted!

Yeah im in agreement - Ratboys is top -  When I went back over my picks for this lastyear - i nearly always favoured an album I Had missed and then picked up after

Reminds me a little of the Wednesday album that got us all excited last year
