on the other hand, the quality Is High imo: Lewis, Florence, twenty One, bmth great live acts

Looking forward to 21p and BMTH, missed 21p set in 2019 and not seen either live.

Florence always disappointed me live, apart from the 1st album tour.

i saw that comment too, It would be great, probably weaker than the ones they already announced, but One strong headliner and three subs would male the deal, it's still 5 days compared to 7 days 4 years ago, they definetely can afford to focus on bigger names given the ticket price Is the same. Let's wait for the spring, i expect some edm and rap, also some mid card names for the day

Just noticed on Instagram that someone has asked if it's two headliners per day and the Sziget response is "exactly", so we could still be due four more biggish names in announcement three.

Cynical me would say that anything can be called a headliner when two of them are Zara Larsson and Sombr.

More objectively, though, the whole idea of a “headliner” has been watered down in recent years, and I don’t think it’s just me getting losing the edge. The shift from “big household name on the poster” to “artist who brings an experience” has made people more willing to accept someone like Zara Larsson as a headliner. She ticks the boxes: comeback narrative, TikTok relevance, strong live presence.

Sziget has been experimenting with this for years (think Ellie Goulding or Dua Lipa’s first time headlining). Some of those bets paid off, some didn’t.

Today, this approach feels much more widespread and generally accepted, as long as the cartel also brings A‑game artists (or nobody in the circuit manage to do so).

I'm surprised Biffy Clyro hasn't been put onto the topline of headliners if they're having ten!

If they are intending to have that many (and Biffy isn't one of them) then surely that means they're playing the Revolut?

That would be gig of the year if that's the plan.

Biffy on revolut would be absolutely mega, hope it’s after the headliner too

Turnstile before 21P or BMTH would be a fantastic booking.

Think they're playing some of the Scandi festivals though?

They're at Syd for Solen on 14 August and Flow Festival 15 or 16 August but they don't appear to have anything in Europe before then.

So, could potentially sub 21Pilots on Wednesday 12 August at Sziget. Let's try and manifest that......

Turnstile confirmed shows so far.

14 Syd For Solen
15 or 16 Flow festival
20 Le Cabaret Vert
21 Pukkelpop
22 or 23 Lowlands
28 All Points East
29 Rock en Seine
30 Meo Kalorama

Unfortunately, they are probably playing Oyafestiven on August 12 or 13

Yeah, I think they are more likely for Oya or Way Out West. But I guess they would be announced by now if that was a case so they might be actually doing some festivals in the US like Lolla or Outside Lands and that's why they haven't announced anything before Syd For Solen.

One day ticket for first day it's good option for me.

yeah I'm thinking the same, the only ones I want to see on 2nd and 3rd day are Chet Faker and Parcels. Most of my friends are going on 1st day because of Zara Larsson, and I think that will be fun (and I wanna see underworld and wolf alice)

First 3 days are pretty nice already, about 4-5 names / day I'm interested in. The 4th day has the potential to be cool too if they bring some good names to support BMTH. The last day is the least impressive one so far.

I don't expect much from Saturday, it's the most expensive day in terms of bookings, a huge EDM artist with some support and just the fact it is weekend could sell well already.

So far day 1 might be my favorite as well

Pleased underworld are on the tuesday. Was worried they would be on the 4am slot in the delta district on the Saturday night. I have early flight back on the Sunday morning, so would of been tight on scheduling.

Does anyone know if Delta district is happening this year? Wouldnt be to upset, if they decided to ditch it.

Based on this post you can guess some additional artists, for example it seems like Sisi + Elefánt will be on the last day.

I've got almost everything on the first two days, I really hope Sziget gods will bless me with placing Alt Blk Era, Karen Dió and Lambrini Girls to the 3th-4th days.

Yes, 3 of them plus I like Sombr, Indira and Sara. Literally 6 favorite names on the lineup all on first day.

With creamfields being so stacked already, there could be a few options for the Saturday headliner and lineup generally.

This old boy very tempted by the Saturday with Underworld, Van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Josh Baker and Kettama all on the Sarurday.

That gives everyone a big sigh of relief, that Capaldi is only subbing rather than the main act of the day.

Can't grumble with Florence headlining and Capaldi subbing, thats a pretty strong combo.

What difference does it make whether they're the headliner or not? They say they'll play 1hr30min but they never do, it's always 1hr15min

That we have a headliner size act above him. People thought he was the main headliner, subbing is perhaps the right position for capaldi at Sziget.

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
