Even with 5 days of proper music its still longer than most other festivals which are just 3 (4 for a few of the largest european ones). I think final year is jumping to conclusions a bit!

Barely though. At six days they can still just about claim that USP but at 5 days it's no longer that impressive, many euro fests are 4 days. It'd be a very bad marketing move amongst the other things mentioned.

If they want a one off cash injection Radiohead last played in 2006, get them to play in 2026, don't sell day tickets and the weeklies will sell out. Probably wouldn't even have to book any other bands 😂😂😂

OK ill stop dreaming now 🙃

I think we might get Sabrina Carpenter and The Strokes as headliners from this lineup. The Strokes should have been at Sziget 2020.

I'd be very happy if we did. As long as we don't get Bieber again!

I'd also like Moby but appreciate I might be in the minority on that one!

I never seem to know too many on the undercard of Coachella, but would happily take Lykke Li, Chloe Caillet, Sombr, David Byrne, Black Flag, Royksopp and............WET F**KING LEG!!

TURNSTILE was the best show I've been to at Hellfest 2025... so if there's another " papa Roach slot" : I vote them

They were incredible at Glastonbury (watched from the comfort of my living room). Hadn't heard any of their stuff prior to watching and sat through their whole set. Would love it if they were announced.

The reasons why they are struggling isn't really about the lineups. Lineups have never been particularly strong at sziget, one of the worst compared to other major festivals across Europe. I have been about 10 times, never chosen it for a lineup.

Its a bit deeper than that imo.

2022 was my least favourite Sziget, thought I was done with Sziget that year. Whilst the lineup was pretty good, they annoyed a lot of customers for there lack of effort outside the artists. Kind of took there audience for granted.

2023 and 2024 they would have lost more customers, due to the below average lineups even for Sziget.

2025 was better on both scores from 2022-2024. Problem is did they have the trust for people to come back? So much choice in Europe in August. Way out West, OYA, Pukkelpop, Untold to name a few. Or better lineups at big scale festivals like Roskilde, Werchter etc.

Also it really isn't a cheap festival any more, if thats a concern sziget isn't for you either. You go to other Eastern European festivals.

That being said I still love Sziget, but certainly missing big style between 2022-2024. Probably down to covid and inflation in Hungary. Non Hungarians, thats not there concern and would choose elsewhere.

“2023 and 2024 they would have lost more customers, due to the below average lineups even for Sziget.”

Theese statements kinda piss me off, very annoying reading critisism almost evey year, i ve been attending sziget year by year at least for the last 10years, sziget eventually never disappointed me. 2023 lineup with Billie Eilish, Imagine dragons, Lorde, Florence, m83, yungblud, foals wasnt week at all, in 2024 ihad a week pass and a really enjoyed every day, the lineup kept me quite busy, esp. fred, skrillex, four tet , mø, aurora, sam smith, liam gallagher, fontaines dc and even kylie.. I dont understand what people are expecting honestly..

It's simple. Neither year had Wet Leg.

This is your opinion and, however honorable and valuable it may be, I’m afraid it doesn’t carry much weight on its own.

Also, the issue is not simply ‘it kept me busy,’ but rather: is it still worth it if the value remains intact, even though I have to invest more while competition grows stronger and my purchasing power declines?

To you the answer may be ‘yes,’ but for the general population it seems far less certain

Tickets sales would suggest my suggestion, that lineup were below average were accurate.

Its an opinion, if that makes you pissed off perhaps some relaxation therapy would be beneficial. 😂

The Cure at Rock en Seine... def don't see them at Sziget

What kind of logic is that? You see info them performing festival in Europe in second part of August and your conclusion is they won't be attending other European festival in mid August? These two festivals share headliners every year.

In my opinion the ticket sales rather reflected on the economical situation in hungary, the hyperinflation and higher international travel costs
