Yep the app has changed too indicating that Gorillaz are actually the closer that day too

Christ can’t believe one of Mad Cool’s headliners aren’t even closing at Rock Werchter 😂😂 (sorry couldn’t help myself)

I am genuinely asking - did you expect it to be the other way around? I did not even consider a possibility that Damon isn't closing

Normally the website/app list in the order they’d be and it was TOP indicated as the closer so I just presumed but you’re right Gorillaz make more sense

Great addition for me that. He’s long been on my “to see” list. Having a great time at the minute with line ups being announced, just need to wait and see which brings the highest concentration of bands I want to see. Mad Cool currently in the lead but Werchter beginning to shape up very nicely.

Festileaks reckons Moby main stage before The Cure. Seems a big name in Benelux, sold out Sportspaleis and also the recently announced gig in Luxembourg. Likely too big for the Barn.

I hope you are right! Would mean Moby not in the dark

I have no idea who Moby is ( maybe it’s my age ahahaha )

I think so. I'm late 20s and can't say anyone I know has every really talked or cared about him. I vaguely know him for the veganism / animal rights activism but I'm not familiar with the music at all.

Imagine that opinion might be quite a bit different if you're older.

Not got an in depth knowledge of him but I’d be amazed if people haven’t heard Porcelain, Natural Blues and Why does my heart feel so bad

Mid 30s....Moby was a nostalgia act in the 2008 edition. He was huge for a time in the early 00s and has some timeless songs.

Not every headliner/ sub will be huge....case in point last year when simple minds player under green day.

You'll recognise his music because it's always used on adverts / films / games etc

The best addition so far but intrigued to see where (and when) he'll be playing. Despite how much I like him, I don't think he's headline/sub-material. With the Cure headlining Sunday I was planning on an early exit, so I hope he won't be a dance closing act 😉 Sub is too high in itself I think, so I'm guessing for Barn headline, which would suit me perfect. Pretty much the same as when Fred Again was announced early and solo a few years ago.

It’s been confirmed that Moby and The Cure aren’t clashing for anyone concerned

Given the likely lengthy set of The Cure, this means he has to sub or close on main right? Barn headliner would probably overlap with a long main headliner like The Cure? Think Underworld + Green Day had some overlap last year for example.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
