Are Kneecap playing tomorrow?

 

Given Rod’s comments today, I wonder if Starmer and Nandy etc will come out and say he shouldn’t be allowed to play.

Just watching the highlights show on BBC2 - realised I've been drinking for 10 hours - sod it, I'm gonna carry on until 2 in the morning! What a fantastic day - everyone I wanted to see today exceeded expectations (apart from Shed Seven - who were ace but I knew they would be, having seen them 4 weeks ago).

 

I love the BBC & will defend it with my life, but the glasto presenters really piss me off! Literally every single act they show they talk about how amazing they were. f**k off, you can't possibly love every single act that plays - obviously they can't say "that was sh*t" but they shouldn't be saying everyone is amazing.

Last tipsy thoughts for the day:

 

1975 played the hits well. Not an all-timer, in my opinion. But very good.

 

Loved CMAT, Fat Dog, Lola Young & Jalen Ngonda.

 

Enjoyed Biffy, Lewis Capaldi & Wet Leg.

 

Plenty to catch up on, including Supergrass, Anohni, Four Tet & Alanis Morissette.

Quite drunk but I'll sum up my day:

 

Lorde and Inhaler were enjoyable

 

Wet Leg and Biffy were good

 

Franz Ferdinand, Busta Rhymes and Blossoms were great

 

The 1975 were brilliant

 

Osees, Denzel Curry and Fat Dog were outstanding

I've realised in my drunken state that I've praised everyone and then slagged off BBC presenters for praising everyone! 🤣 In my defence I have also watched some acts today that I thought were rubbish and some that were bang average & if I was presenting on TV, I wouldn't pretend I loved them!

If anyone watched Loyle how did he get on? Was at the 75 but would’ve liked to have seen him!

I gave up on the 1975 half way through, just found them a bit bland and boring, could have been a decent mid afternoon band or high up on other, but definitely not a headliner for me, i might go back and watch a bit more to see if things improved later on in the set, but i dont get the hype around them

Improved in the second half, not to say that the first was poor. A very strong four-star job.

Just caught up with Capaldi. What a wee Glastonbury legend he is. Never seen so many people bawling their eyes out while I've been eating breakfast.

Not quite yet. It's an intriguing one. If he ever gets the headline slot, it's a gamble to see if he pulls through it. 

 

But you can bet a field full of people willing him on.

I'm with you on that. Watched a bit when I got in last night, started losing the will just after the trouser bit, then a dozy bee popped in and stung me to add some outdoor authenticity, and I gave up.

Just catching up with him now, really brilliant stuff! Really appreciate how intimate the set was with just him and his band, Sampha and Jorja Smith as guests were excellent as well!

I see a lot of whole sets are up on iPlayer from yesterday. But I'm not seeing the breakout sections they've had in previous years - for pop, rock, dance, hidden gems etc - and I don't see any of the dance headliners/subs yet from last night (Four Tet, Maribou State, Floating Points etc) - hoping they are just working through a queue of sets in priority order and that all this is yet to come...

They're adding them- floating points is up if you search directly (d/l it for my train journey south this morning!)
