No chance Chase and Status headline a major festival in 2026, not even as co-headliners.

Why not? Have you seen the tour they just did and sold out? Or the MK show they sold out?

They’re bigger and more popular now than they ever have been.

It’s mad that things have have got so bad that it’s even a suggestion

A strong act to have on the bill no doubt, to actually headline a day at Reading though. Jesus H…

Any chance Fontaines could step up? Or wait till next album cycle?

Would be a weak booking given they played on the previous cycle and have done loads of shows since

Would anyone be up for testing this website where you can pick your dream lineup for Reading and Leeds? I’ve set it up and would love some feedback — it might look better on desktop.

Agree with the above comment, works to an extent. Maybe add stages and some custom font options for acts not included in the default picks?

Plus more to be announced is a little unrealistic!

Dare I ask if Oasis are considered to be in the running? It's looking likely they'll do more shows next year, and I can imagine festivals will be after them. With no Glasto, and the fact R&L have booked Liam Gallagher a good number of times, is it out of the realms of possibility? With all the recent talk on here of the festival being a shadow of its former self, it's the sort of booking that could really put it back on the map.

Shame the Smirnoff and Reload stages are needed to fill it out... Plus still only 6 options vs the 7 in '29, not including the sponsor activations...that were also present in 2019...

I don't know why they don't do that format though, makes it look like there are many more options. I guess the sponsors stages probably arent booked until they can find some jobbers to fill up the spaced

Edit- Also realised they no longer have the Bixbys cider house or Tubourg town!  Its mad how much has been cut

Aren't they heavily rumoured to be doing Knebworth for the 30th anniversary?
I'd doubt they'd do that and any other UK fest, maybe the following year if Glasto don't get them.

I'm also not sure they'd even be able to afford them going of the ticket prices for the current tour...

Remove every band logo not in red and it's about realistic if we're gauging against what we've been given this year. 🙃

And that's MCR definitely ruled out for 2026.

Maybe;
Foos
Drake + friends
Lewis Capaldi

Wish it was Eminem and not Drake and I’d actually be happy 😂 Lewis meh I’m not the biggest fan but know a couple of songs and would definitely see him as was planning on doing so last time and Foos are just phenomenal live.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
