Anyone been to Mad Cool with a teenager and can share how the experience was? I´ve been with my daughter to Rock Werchter the previous 2 years but we cannot make those dates this year so looking for another festival. We both like the Line up at MC so far.

In a 60.000 capacity Mad Cool, Teenagers will be safe and could enjoy the full experience , like in 2024

In a 80.000 capacity Mad Cool, like 2023, definitely NOT

2025 seems to be a 2024 kind of MC

Thanks for replying! That sounds good. From what I´ve heard it was way better organised in 2024 than in 2023.

During RHCP it was actually stupid. I’m also fairly certain they oversold tickets.

Can you send the link please?

Sorry, can’t, it was an ad I saw on Twitter but I only did the screenshot.

But you’re right the profile pic is not the same, but it appears as verified? Strange. I’ll send the link if it appears again.

It would be very on-brand for Mad Cool to have leaked yet another tour before it was ready to be announced hahah!

(Although I suppose they can be forgiven as it was meant to come out last week and this could be an ad which was not nipped in the bud in time)

They played in 2018 and were on the second row. That year had 5 headliners over 3 days.

To be fair though they were positioned right before Dua Lipa lol.

I wouldn't take much in consideration what happened in 2018, sadly those times are long gone. And right now they are definitely a Mad Cool headliner. Not a mainstream one though, that spot was reserved for Linkin Park or Foo Fighters but they missed on them.

Maybe, but Dua Lipa 2018 isn't Dua Lipa now.

That year she was playing mid-sized venues on tour. Since then she's gone through the arenas and onto stadiums.

But Dua Lipa grew on popularity since 2018. NIN is basically on the same spot or lower.

In a year that festivals are struggling to put line-ups together I definitely think Mad Cool get away with NIN as the last headliner. It's already a very solid festival bill, and NIN have sort of inflated their worth by only playing a handful of UK/EU shows since that full tour in 2018. I think the demand is there to warrant it. Put them on the same day as say Justice, Weezer, and 30STM and you've got a fairly strong day there for a 00s music fan

Well, that's not how it works these days. A band makes a comeback after some time off? Its popularity goes way up. It has been crazy with Oasis and Linkin Park but it has happened as well with many other names that out of nothing they start selling out venues for the first time and at much higher priced tickets than before.

Things have changed a lot since the pandemic, audience-wise due to social media, FOMO and all this nonsense. Add that to the lack of big rock acts and NIN will be way bigger in 2025 than in 2018.

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
