Kendal Calling have just posted this:

We've watched this party grow from a get together in our local park to an adventure beyond our wildest expectations and we expect our 20th birthday to take us that one step further. A celebration of Kendal's past, present and future - from first time headliners to returning favourites.

Whether you've been on this ride with us since the beginning or making the pilgrimage to the Lakes for the first time, one thing's for sure - you're in for the party of a lifetime!”

Any late guesses on the returning favourites or first time headliners?

Blossoms?

Pendulum would headline this surely. Didn't their arena tour do well.

Yeah I went to the Leeds show and was surprised that it seemed that nearly all of the seating was gone as well.

I’m quite pleased in a way that we’ve got to this hour the morning before the line up is due out and we’re realistically none the wiser and have had no leaks. It’s quite impressive from them, see you all in the morning for a debrief!

Kaisers on their own I'm not overly fussed about.

Kaisers bringing along their support from the Leeds show would be great.

Yes that would probably get me to go for kendall and sell my Leeds ticket. Unlikely though.

Looking at previous headliners, would Pendulum (headliner in KC's first year) be a shout? Not sure if they are a headline sized act these days but could go with Prodigy rumoured above

Think they would headline

Kaiser chiefs (Thursday), Courteeners (Friday), Fatboy Slim (Saturday), Prodigy (Sunday) are the headliners

Fat Boy Slim feels like a bit of a cheap cop-out, especially for the Saturday night, but hopefully it’s reflected further down the line up with some quality undercard. Prodigy, Kaisers and Courteeners is a solid enough start

this is a brilliant lineup if it’s true. only thing is that i’m a little unsure as to what Kaiser Chiefs have done since being booked 2nd from top in 2023 to earn the headline slot. regardless though, they were brilliant in 2023 and i look forward to seeing them. courteeners and the prodigy are 2 of the best crowd pleasing festival performers on the scene and fat boy slim is a great heritage act to celebrate the 20 years. very very happy with that.

Kaiser Chiefs are playing Employment in full with their greatest hits at the end so it’s a little different from when they last played, I guess that’s the only difference

A lot of strength in depth. Travis, Last Dinner Party, Frank Turner, Maximo Park, Inspiral Carpets, Big Moon plus loads of smaller acts I like such as Royston Club, the K's, Stone, and even the slightly rarer ones like Daniel Bedingfield and Pixie Lott.

Could take or leave all the headliners, I like Courteeners and I'm sure it'll be a good atmosphere, though seen them many times, Kaiser Chiefs will be good playing the album, though again seeing them in Leeds.

Will be as far away from Fatboy Slim as possible, and Prodigy have never interested me, so two nights at the Calling Out tent for me!

There is a lot I would see. Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Travis, TLDP, Frank but not a must. SEB, Jason Manford, Skindred, Maximo Park, Daniel Bedingfield, Pigeon Detectives.

It looks like a Friday top two of Courteeners and The Wombats which is meh. I honestly think The Prodigy may be out of Glastonbury now, I'm expecting them to headline Victorious and Fatboy Slim to be the Glastonbury shared headliner in a decent slot.

Won't be there Thursday but wouldn't rule out it depending on Fridays second stage alternative. Obviously more to come too later.

The Prodigy put on an incredible show even without Keith tbf. It will go down an absolute storm so that one is a sure thing to please the crowds.

Courteeners are hugely popular in the NW where a lot of Kendall punters come from so again that one will be fine. KC without a guitar band headlining would have been wild.

Seen Fatboy Slim so many times over the years (quite a few being at Glasto) and I'm honestly bored of him now.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
