Sziget 2025

I think what Sziget needs to do is right after the announcement they have to start promoting their new main stage with some sick animations / renders or whatever. Get people excited for the Anyma show even if it’s the first time they are hearing about it.

There has not been one person I ever showed Anyma who didn’t immediately say they want to see this live.

Btw the CEO clearly stated in August that they want people to come for the Sziget experience, not for the lineup. Step one is almost complete. I don’t even know what I expected after that interview.

compared to 5 years ago, the ‘experience’ elements on the line up are a shadow of what they used to be , and the line up too.

Agreed, this absolutely. Putting some example vids out would be massive damage imitation. I hadn't heard of him and couldn't believe he'd been announced as a headliner then someone on here posted a vid and that shut me up immediately! Lol.

This is not a bad third (as in two thirds still coming) lineup at all. Certainly better than last year. I mean especially if you like electronic music.

Anyma - huge

Chapalle Roan - I’m being called she is absolutely massive in a certain demographic and selling out festivals

Charli - People have been requesting here non stop

Armin - not even a headliner!!

Boris - great

Justice - fantastic!!

Nelly Furtado - good retro pick up

Papa Roach - good retro pickup

Kneecap - Bunch of people have requested it

Palaye Royale - solid rock pickup

And I’m sure there are more that I am personally not aware of and great pickups

Guys, am I the only one here, who is actually excited from this first announcement?

Well, maybe I started to losing my hope since covid, but lineup is actually good one.

Anyma would be mindblowing,

Chapelle & Charlie, two great pop names,

Blossoms, Papa Roach, Palaye Royale, great live bands

Nelly Furtado, good name for us old guys 🙂

Justice, Boris, Brutalismus, Madonna, Armin, thats actually good electronic names.

I mean for festival which its last year went -5M EUR its actually solid lineup, we can be happy that there is not Halot Penz headlining 🙂

That’s where it goes sideways. While recently I started to enjoy some electronic music, it’s still one of my less favourite genre. Especially not on a main stage where the main aspect is ‘parasztvakitas’ (I hope you were the one to mention this phrase previously) with lasers and fireworks and drops in every 5 seconds.

I’m sure I will enjoy most of the acts you listed, buy what I really need is bands with actual guitars.

I feel the same. I do enjoy electronic/techno sometimes, but it's not the main genre I'm gonna play at home and at festivals I can't listen to it for too long. I also love the visuals and laser/light shows and can't wait for Justice and Anyma, but I also need more live music

Yes I was the one! 😄 It is parasztvakitas but it’s next level compared to what you are saying, AND it will only get better because he is doing shows in the Sphere so I can only imagine they will up the visuals massively

What a production! Shame not a single person in the crowd seems to be dancing...

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
