Majority of those artists are going to be at Colosseum or Party Arena imo, I expect and hope for more live music in the next phase, even though I like the first one

I was thinking the same. Out of the 4 stages they announce names for 2 is purely electronic, so the ratio of djs will be high

Perhaps the balaton theme, with a few big hitters was the change.

Better to have it in Budapest, due to easier travel.

If they manage to attract the same crowd from Balaton Sound, then this year’s edition was really the last ‘old’ Sziget, just as the CEO said it. The time of Pumped Gabo has come.

Seems a strange move, especially when colosseum and party are back have never been in the first announcement.

I think the second announcement will be very soon. Hence they themselves already teased Post but have not included him in this announcement

Nah, like I said... this doesn't stand a chance. And it's not even a headliner problem. Chappell and Charli will sell all right, especially if they co-headline but the lack of solid undercard is ridiculous. It's like 70% electronic music and the rest is mostly way too small (even though there are some gems). Don't believe there will be many foregneirs buying tickets for this. Many EDM festivals in Europe where the general experience is much better for EDM lovers and there will be many other opportunities to catch Chappell or Charli. And it's not cheap - which is a problem for locals (combined with the lack of huge names).

I feel a bit stupid with some of my suggestions/wants - all very wide of the mark!

Very happy with the three headliners (even though I hadn't heard of Anyma 30 minutes ago!)

However, if they are trying to deliver a mix of genres then they appear to leaned far too much into the EDM genre. Not a balanced mix at all.

I feel like I've been sold a ticket under false pretenses.

That might sound a tad dramatic but I get no joy from EDM music. Which doesn't leave a great deal for me to watch and enjoy.

Theres no way these are all acts for the Colleseum. They are almost certainly for the new main or second stages. If more guitar/pop acts don't get announced then I'll sell my ticket for peanuts and walk away.

Lesson learned - buyer beware.

Sziget has had issues with the undercard since covid, why people thought it would change this year is anyone's guess.

That’s not a leak, they essentially gave up and decided to pull a GTA VI and post the damn thing since it’s open secret.

oh no they took it off! Damn, someone is really messing with them!

This is the best drama of 2024 I swear!

The madman posted on their own channel.

I was also expecting for more rock... but the second announcement might be late February right ? I hope it will change that... Franz ferdinand and Nothing but thieves are negociating if what Leaks said is right, + many rock acts are available this year at this period, so.... I keep faith 🙂

BUT yeah, I don't buy my ticket for now this time. lessons learned ^^

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
