Sziget has had issues with the undercard since covid, why people thought it would change this year is anyone's guess.

I thought it was supposed to be like the 2020 lineup. At least Leaks was suggesting that... this is not it.

If you look at it logically, cancelling balaton we were bound to see more of an increase of electronic.

I’m not complaining, the last time I went I realised the festival’s not for me. I just don’t think this will work.

Well, my daughter is 19 and has attended the last four editions with us. This year she was hoping to attend with 8 of her friends from school/university. They have reserved accommodation and were waiting for the line up to drop before splashing out for tickets.

Sziget has just lost 9 ticket sales. They don't mind EDM but have just been on a Zoom call laughing at how few of the acts they know. Feel really bad for them tbh.

Tbh, if all these electronic acts are for a new stage or the Colosseum/Party arena, we could still get some proper names.

But surely they know what type of message this sends to people about what type of festival it's becoming. They needed to deliver a first announcement that was balanced. This isn't it.

Agree. The imbalance of genres isn't what I was expecting personally. I feel like the hints etc misled me. But maybe the second announcement will surprise us

What was the answer to that clue about someone with a special association with football in the end?

Certainly not Fender, Sheeran or Meduza.

Meduza was also clued multiple ways, alongside with Post and some other clues are also still unresolved. Another announcement coming very soon I believe.

Post could be delaying the announcement and they may have cut the first phase in two.

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
