Yeah at this point its pretty clear FF were headlining several festivals in Europe including Hellfest and NOS Alive.

That being said the FF probably cancelled the tour when they cancelled the US shows they had this year after the news about Grohl affair came out and i think Covoes had enough time to come up with some decent headliner.

Foos did Hellfest in 2024 so I would be surprised if they were down to play it again next summer.

She is playing in London on the 10th and 11th.

Seems impossible to me.

Ah fair enough, I had not actually looked to see if she was even on tour to be fair. Felt like that would have been the kind of booking they could wait to announce as she'll shift tickets regardless

She would save the festival for sure.

Reminds me that 5 years ago, the headliners for NOS Alive 2020 were Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Da Weasel (was a huge comeback in Portugal). That was probably the last chance to book Taylor and Billie.

Really shows how tastes differ. I can see how those 3 would be a HUGE set of headliners, but I cannot see a way that I would be happy to pay to see them, not my taste at all. I think that 2020 was the ONLY time that could have happened too.

I would love to see Billie, but I know I would hate the experience due to the constant screaming of the crowd.

Kendrick and Taylor are not my cup of tea. At least Taylor before working with Aaron Dessner. I actually enjoy some of her work after 2020.  But they would be huge for Alive even in 2020.

Finneas not playing with her it's also a strange news

He already announced that he wouldn't be part of some of her shows, due to his own tour.

to me it shows how confused and devoid of identity festivals have become.. Back in the day, most festivals would cater to a specific audience. You'd have rock festvials, pop festivals etc... Sure, there'd be different genres, but you knew the audience they were aiming their product at... These days, the older festivals have all lost their identity completely and try to cater to all, and this is what we get - bubblegum pop acts sharing a stage with heavy rock and metal bands. It's really quite bizarre when you think abou tit, but I guess that's the world we live in! Ha

Festivals are a business like any other... If Rock bands have increased prices since the pandemic, due to logistics needed, they will book pop/rap artists that will sell the same or more and cost less.

I do not think they are doing that because they want to destroy that identity, but because they need to bet on other things to be sustainable.

I know it isn;t a concious effort to destroy their product and identity... like I said, it's the world we live in these days where music I consoider to be commercial trash is extremely popular. Having said that, there was always mainstream music but the dofference was they had their own festivals. For whatever reason, it's all started to bleed into each other and hardly any festivals these days have a distinct identity. I can't quite put my finger on why because it's not as if the appetite for purely rock or purely pop has gone...

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
