So, do we think we’re due an announcement this week?

I feel a bit more invested in this since I bought tickets. I love the lineup already, but the Sunday is a bit empty for my personal taste.

Dream (semi-realistic) additions for me would be Beach House and The War on Drugs.

I’ll be happy with the (almost certain) additions of Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, Bright Eyes & Japanese Breakfast.

Finally, a bit lower down the bill, if they could find space for Fat Dog, Divorce, Heartworms, Jessica Pratt or Cassandra Jenkins, that would be great.

So I’m fully expecting it to come tomorrow but based on previous years it should be this week at least.  I’d imagine if it does it’ll be 3pm uk time.  If it doesn’t come in then surely it’s Friday

Pinkpop is coming Thursday so I doubt they’ll both have an announcement on the same day (although others might know of this happening before?).

Werchter never made much sense right?

Was more they were on the leaked dates alongside Mad Cool and with them seemingly announcing them today it sort of made more sense

Hey ho, we move on!  We need an announcement

Apparently Grasspop and not Werchter

Wouldn't surprise me. Always thought Graspop looked a bit thin at the top by their standards this year and NIN seem to be taking headliner bookings at those sorts of festivals in America and such like

What has Pinkpop to do with that? It's a festival in another country... Isn't that like saying they can't announce because a French festival will announce as well?

Well I hope they’re announce tomoz then.  I’m not precious, sooner the better

It’s not exactly like that. Both festivals are run by the same company (LN/Mojo), they take place a few kilometers apart and within two weeks from each other. So part of their customer base is common and they do influence each other.

Yes, Pinkpop attracts more Dutch folks and RW more Belgians, naturally, but in this part of the world distances are negligible and the country the festival is at doesn’t matter. It’s mostly about the lineup and habits (when it comes to regulars).

Yeah, I'm sure that they've worked together in the past to secure big headliner bookings and such like (Paul McCartney in 2016 jumps out, and then Fleetwood Mac in 2019 - granted they were for TWClassic). They definitely work together to co-ordinate these things, and I'm sure Main Square and Werchter do as well to an extent.

... oh I thought Werchter had an announcement coming today. Clearly not.

The leak had NIN playing RW too (as well as Mad Cool, NOS etc…) so presumption was an announcement today.  Guessing Friday now as Pinkpop is tomoz (although could be tomoz too but personally I don’t think so)

Presumably NIN's Graspop gig means no Trent & co at Werchter then. Though if there was an initial claim they were swinging by Werchter, maybe that was lending credibility to the idea.

Yeah they won’t be sharing.  So back to waiting for an announcement
