Turnstile are a Primavera Porto which is the same weekend as Download/Outbreak. If they're doing both the London and Manchester date of Outbreak (which looks likely) then they're 100% ruled out for Download.

I’d say Outbreak makes them unlikely for Download anyway.

But, they could do Primavera on the 12th, Outbreak 13th and 14th and Download on the 15th, so it doesn’t 100% rule them out.

Till Lindemann announced a few Europe festival dates in July, with more to be announced. Surely that’s the controversial one?

I mean he has been completely cleared of all accusations so if it's 'controversial' it would only be because people are trying desperately to make it so.

Forgot that the 12th was a Thursday. Just saw it was a weekend and assumed it was Fri-Sun and yeah I agree with them playing Outbreak rules them out for Download.

Just because he hasn't been prosecuted doesn't mean it's not dodgy.

It wasn't just that he wasn't prosecuted, the police investigations found no evidence and in fact the Lithuanian one basically said that the accuser was outright lying. That was backed up by witness accounts, she claimed she was sober and was drugged yet all the witnesses say she was drinking tonnes and got wasted before she even got to the concert.  The German investigation found literally nothing either, the wannabe social media influencers who were posting stuff were unable to provide a single shred of evidence when questioned.

Last time I checked his lawyers were also in the process of suing various media outlets for printing false accusations with no evidence to back them up.

I feel like the disappointing band will be one that Green Day request. I'm thinking Nothing But Thieves third, All Time Low subbing or Machine Gun Kelly subbing. My gut tells me it's less the band, and more the placing of them.

I’d be happy with all 3 but all 3 would defo get complaints from the metal/bloodstock crowd.

MGK would be very interesting, if they really do want to broaden the festival genre MGK would help cater to those who aren’t into metal. I’d definitely be up for it.

He would get some stick though let’s face it, if he’s thought of as a poser in the pop punk crowd he’s got no business playing download.

Nothing But Thieves are up there with Royal Blood in terms of how boring they are.

Oof, I’d say they’re far more interesting than Royal Blood and better live as well. I’d be happy with them under Green Day but think they’re a little too indie rock for Download.

Royal Blood are awesome but I agree on nothing but thieves they bored me to death when I saw them support Green Day

Nothing But Thieves are the reason I didn't go and see Green Day on their last tour. There was no way I was paying 90 quid to see Green Day and NBT when a few years prior I paid the same amount of money to see Weezer, Fall Out Boy and Green Day lol
