So that's pretty much Neil Young confirmed for the Saturday now. Can't decide if I am gonna go for Pulp or Paramore to sub?

Paramore don't seem to have any other dates at all all summer.  On that basis Pulp look a bit more likely

(although Jarvis keeps pulling the rug on us, so who knows)

Yes, the tartan rug and chair brigade who were waiting for cuddly Ed were a bit taken aback by Biffy fukin Clyro and me shouting Mon the biff to a fellow countryman across the field.

Oh it's a hilarious contrast to go from one to the other. And I say this as someone who, if I was there, would've gone for the Biff then pissed off elsewhere after they were done.

Adding to the Paramore chat — there was a Reddit post earlier today mentioning that Kerrang Radio said on air something along the lines of "exciting news about Glastonbury for Paramore will be announced soon".

Someone on there is trying to use the playback thing on the Kerrang Radio site to find the clip.

Yeah I know that but seems odd not to announce at the same time, was hoping to see him with a mate who’s another Neil Young fanatic like myself that ain’t got tickets for Glastonbury. He’s desperate to see him so going to Dublin which rules me out because of Glastonbury. I can’t ask him to wait just in case BST gets announced down the line, I suspect there’ll be others doing the same thing booking flights, hotels etc

I’ve heard from a very reliable source he’s 100% doing a London date, I believe it’s the BST Hyde Park gig, not sure on dates, but process of elimination would suggest July 11 or 12.

And you don’t go there anyway so little point worrying surely ?

True. Maybe once every year, but rarely more than that. It’s a shame really as it’s a great stage to watch a headliner (presuming you’re in the pit), but there’s rarely anything for me.

Some girl on Facebook, says she has a friend at bbc, Sam fender for Friday night and lady gaga for Saturday night.

Its Facebook, could be shite, but can’t help getting my hopes up for lady gaga..

the hopes and falls of the headliner thread , its very similar to the weather thread at times 🙂 .... id love either of those tbh but realistically seems unlikely ..... not long untill we find out for sure though 🙂

If I had to guess right now on the Pyramid subs, I'm going Biffy Clyro, Pulp and Paramore from everything I've read

Paramore into 1975 sounds right if thats it I guess. Still wonder whats up with Hayley doing solo stuff then.

Madness between Wolf Alice and TLSP too if you were there for them? I only know that cos I had a pretty identical run aside from sneaking out to catch Art Garfunkel before Tame Impala

Ahh my mind must be playing tricks on me then as I didn't see Madness

    • To be honest while it might not have been said people's Cup of tea, I've actually met people since who did chose Other stage instead because that's where their interest was.
    • Lets get the ball rolling then...  The dates are confirmed for 22nd-25th July. As for acts, the headliners recently seem to be a big solo 70s/80s name and then 2 MOTR crowd pleasers so worth seeing who starts being announced for places from the autumn  I had seen Sam Fender is reportedly doing outdoor shows next year so could see him as the act who ends up doing here, IoW and TRNSMT  Florence and the Machine would be an absolute dream but not sure if she'll be touring 2 years in a row  Id seen also George Ezra was spotted at the festival this year so I'm sure he'll shuffle his way in somehow!  Let the speculation begin...

    • Feels like Rush's structure is set up for days off after shows tbf. They have a night off after all 3 shows in London, and I'm assuming somebody else has snuck into the gaps and put in a show.
    • I'm bemused why Jaissle hasn't been confirmed yet. If he and his coaches are already there, surely the paperwork to send this through must be somewhat sorted and confirmation imminent, no?   Feel like clubs are soft on tapping up now as an industry, right? I swear most deals seem to be a case that personal terms are agreed beforehand. In an older life, this Bruno deal has a potential case imo given the use of intermediaries to plant a seed in Bruno's mind this was a good idea (much I'm prepared to accept last season's mess would likely have had Bruno doubting if he wanted to stay regardless) but the industry seems more forgiving of this stuff at present. Wind seems to be picking up that a deal is about to happen regardless. Shame as I'd have been more willing to accept a move to Real Madrid but it is what it is.   Would be nice if we could show some more balls with this stuff tbf. Feel like the owners are taking a strange lesson from Isak last year in that now, we just have to let everyone go at the first sign of trouble, even though other clubs in a similar boat to us are seemingly more willing to turn back and tell pursuers to f**k off.
