well you're wrong. He subbed last time and will be doing stadiums next year. Clearly a headliner.

@Rose-Colored Boy has mentioned stadia too.  When will these be announced?  Not disputing it, just wondering about the roll out.  (I didn't think oasis were big enough to play stadiums in the US but I was obviously wrong, so why doubt that Fender has the pull to play stadiums in the UK.)

Not sure, maybe after the arena run in december? Although I imagine that would be too close to Xmas to announce so maybe the New Year.

It comes from a legit source and apparently Glasto is 50/50 and it might just be stadiums.

I don't think the festival can win for me, Olivia would be great for my daughter and was very very good on the other, Sam fender harmless feel good factor but would like another album before headlining, the 1975 isn't for me I don't get the hype but that's fine.

I cant think off another 2 headliners that are around that would be realistic Taylor swift and Eminem would be great but cant see it due to finances and eminem just not wanting to do it.

so i have reached a point where I understand the festival cant win and im good with it

Rodrigo, fender and 1975 would be horrible

Certainly not exciting for me but might find myself at one or more out of curiosity.  But I actually quite like it when I have no absolute must sees so no anxiety about the logistics of how soon to get in place etc.

Swift may well come back around down the line - but I could just as easily see her effectively look to stage her own traveling festival at one point.

A series of three-night events - the Cruel Summer Circus or something - where she headlines each evening with four different acts on the bill each day. Likely gears each night around a theme to boot.

She'd absolutely rake it in.

I'm not sure the festival has ever been able to win in some regards. But as we say, always something else going on somewhere on the site. It truly is a magnificent beast.

agreed mate, the post was more about reaching a certain maturity where I don't expect everything to me perfect for me
