Good choice. When they were trailing "massive headliner" I was a bit worried, but King Gizz seem ideally suited to wide awake to be honest

Wide Awake are teasing a second announcement in recent e-mail within a "matter of days". 

Who are we guessing? 

I'm really hoping The Last Dinner Party are there

think they might well play, but have a big roundhouse gig in Feb, so will be announced after that

Hoping they do a collaboration with Desert Daze again for the second stage. Always a killer line up that I can never get to so a taste of that on UK soil would be huge

Really hoping that there’s a SLIFT reappearance off the back of their new album.

One of the best sets I’ve seen at Wide Awake.

I have high faith in the bookers for a good lineup though, always great consistency and King Gizz is a cracking start.

Reds, Pinks and Purples would fit well at Wide Awake. They have a London show a few weeks later which sold out really quickly. I can see them doing Wide Awake and Primavera before their own European tour.

SLIFT feels likely now they've signed to Sub Pop and have a bigger profile. They were amazing at WA.

Honestly fairly (pleasantly) surprised that they got both Young Fathers and King Gizz - both could easily have been headliners in separate years!

Very pleased with Young Fathers being added to the bill. Bodega, Upchuck also good choices

Very happy with squid as well, saw them at Troxy last week and they were excellent

Not been before but very interested with this lineup. I would also like to know whether people feel YF / King Gizz are likely to clash or not as that would be deeply upsetting

might be worth asking the organisors. Seems unlikely to me but never know

Alice Glass and Young Fathers are both more than welcome additions for me.

Going to listen to a few songs per act to get more knowledgeable on the line up but at this point I'm content. Only a third(ish) of the line up announced so far as well

Saw squid at this festival back in 2021 and glasto 2022 but missed the latest tour unfortunately!

where on earth do I start with king gizz back catalogue ?. Sounds like it’s massive , they release multiple albums most years, and they could feasibly play whatever they fancy on the day
