Loads of people do it. I'm not one of them, like, but it's a very popular thing. This was just before the judging bit though.

my expectation of the bt line-up each year, based on previous years.

I have been last 2 years and I wouldn't say any of the 6 headliners have been shouty. Gogol, Interpol, Primal, Patti Smith, Placebo and Flaming Lips?

I love this years line up further down. Would say it is best of all three years, it's just the headliners that I am let down with (barring Orbital and Future Islands)

Do we have any idea when the announcement will be this week?  Thursday?

I wasn't overly impressed with the initial line-up but the closer it gets, the more I'm looking forward to it.  Still hoping for The Cribs to pop up, wouldn't mind Fat White Family either.

Yeah hoping for a bit more indie. Cribs would be great. Charlatans and Johnny Marr maybe (although seeing both at Cannock Chase not long after).

It does need some indie adding. Think we will get quite a bit of folk too, maybe gaz Brookfield, Bess Atwell

I'm convinced I heard or read that FWF are confirmed but can't find anything with a search online.  I'll have to confirm with the partner in crime but I'm sure I told her about it, mainly because she really doesn't like them.  Unless I dreamt it all.😕

Haha stage splits or not is the big question. Every other line up generally has them (many with day splits too).

Far from every other line up. The vast majority do stage splits much later and day splits can come from day of announcement to a week before.

Quite honestly it is not something really worth worrying about - it will come, we will make plans and the plans will go out the window at the festival as they always do.

Agreed, a lot that do day splits early are festivals that sell day tickets.

As Bearded don't do then (once before), then it's not as important to know who's on what day.
