Hmm… looks like there is a hint that Taylor may be playing Madison Square Garden… which is an arena show.

Swings and roundabouts but maybe there is an arena set up for the Eras tour as well?

The 1989 World Tour had practically identical setups for the arena and stadium legs according to someone I know who went to both.

Would guess she wants to try and break Harry Styles record at the MSG

So then she is going to do a 20 night residency in 2024 during Glastonbury 😂. If its what it seems then its a one off and tickets are going to be $25. Harry did that as promo  thing for his last album. Although the problem with msg is there are not crazy restrictions you can place on tickets. So lets welcome some more complaints about resale markets and such.

I honestly think swifts camp don’t care about the complaints for resale market , on the ticketmaster page fir=her tour it actually mentions the prices will be dynamic pricing

Taylor hasn't once done anything that makes fans lives easier or stops them opening their wallets, and I say that as a long-term fan. She's a capitalist and rinses the fanbase for all its worth at every opportunity, and isn't particularly shy about it. Dynamic pricing is just going to be another thing they'll have to deal with if they want to see her live.

Even if dynamic didn't exist, she'd inevitably come up with something like that at some point anyway.

Had a conversation with a friend about this. We probably weren't too far off an artist releasing 'a new show due to demand' with the tickets being a little higher in price because of the demand.

The ticket rush for Taylors tour is going to be incredibly interesting to watch. Social Media gets larger every year and the idea around hating scalpers does too. My hope is swifties will buy more than they need ticket wise and sell to others at the same price, to hopefully stop touts.

In general, touts need to be stopped more than ever and the dynamic ticketing pricing is only increasing their selling price.

Happy for someone to say I’m wrong but I think dynamic pricing will make touting worse.

No I agree and that's pretty much what I said. Dynamic pricing will mean they will sell it higher than the dynamic prices, rather than higher than the original ticket price.

And thus the standard for resale tickets will go up - basically people will get comfortable paying even higher.

I found the Swift article the other day extremely disturbing, especially people taking out literal loans from the bank to attend the concerts.

Genuine question, has anyone met anyone like this before? Literally getting into serious debt to afford concert tickets.

My partner has a friend, whose younger sister used to be a 'directioner' and used every bit of exposable income that doesn't go into paying bills and food to save up for going to see Harry Styles as many times on his upcoming UK tour. She's seeing him every night in London, front standing tickets, along with nights in a hotel. Its about £1000 on tickets alone I think, not including hotel and London food for 4 days, as she's going the day before. She's planning on sleeping outside Wembley between the first and 2nd show.

Wow, and yet her activity would probably be considered mild by todays standards.

Yes. She used to get the benefit of the doubt with regards to her motivations as a popstar, but that went straight out of the window when she refused to denounce Trump for fear of upsetting fans in Wyoming or wherever. And I say that as a fan.

To be fair since the reputation era she has come out solidly as a democrat

She’s there, the awards start at 8pm she’s already won best long form video or something - if she only attends award shows when she knows she’s won (or whatever the rumour is) I think we could be in for an announcement tonight

I still can’t see her announcing anything , I don’t think I can cope watching the show to find out

is there actually a credible source

    • For those who have been to Roskilde before, what is it like for getting a phone signal? To my disappointment, they won't be showing any football matches anywhere so I'm thinking of taking my laptop and trying to hotspot the match on my phone data.   I've had success with this in the past, but never at such a big festival and I've never been to Denmark so not sure how viable this plan is!
    • This Iron maiden thingo at Knebworth seems like its going to be Blue Light bound, i dont think ive ever known another gig to be so pushed on social media and via email! I've been emailed at least five times a week for the last couple of months.    ive entered the ballot for VIP tickets via blue light, and im sure they're going to email me with a 'hey! you didnt win, but as a special thanks here's some half price tickets, fill yer boots' offer in due course - wish there was a way of seeing how many tickets are sold, itd be fascinating reading
    • Bits was absolutely massive. What was it? Three or four stages plus Soho House plus a beach plus would be people transitioning between the stages plus in the chillout areas.   No way was there only 1,000 people in it. When I saw Sofia Kourtesis there it felt like there were just that number watching here alone.
    • Could well be. My gut feeling is Yungblud to play under Foo Fighters who I'll massively shocked if they aren't there. I think Placebo will also be there. My dream 3rd option is that they get The Cure back after a crazy amount of years but I don't see it. RAR don't booked as versatile as they used to years gone by. There is many that are unlikely to appear again.   The biggest thing I took from this year unless you are grab the fast lane addon pass is accept to stand a lot further back to watch your main stage bands to be able to see all you have interest in. I had to sack off a bit of Social Distortion and Within Temptation completely to get up front for Offspring, Maiden and LP....only just made it for that one.   The downside is for next year, booking from over here you cannot get the ticket an an instant app anymore, its €35 euros shipping. Its a nice ticket don't get me wrong bit £30 just for the card
    • Trev, their manager, has sadly passed away. Very grim. Instrumental in getting them to where they are. Seemed like a good bloke when I met him.    On their social media now
