i think (and hope) it’s Royals - Lorde for 👑👑 and Girl in Red - Bad Idea for 👎💡

it seems the most plausible.. lizzo, fred again and the others dont really fit

maybe royal blood is the only other viable act for these clues

@Sziget2023_Leaks are the 2 clues for the same act?? or different acts?

They'll be different acts. I don't think Leaks has ever repeated in the past.

I agree with Lorde and Girl In Red. Both are doing festivals in Europe in August so seemed likely even before any clues were released.

While some of the others would be great (Lizzo and Royal Blood) they either aren't in Europe at that time or the clues don't quite align.

As a group, we've always guessed Leaks' clues correctly in the past so I'm confident Lorde and Girl In Red will be on the island this year.

Considering there was a hint on Sam Smith by Untold Festival (August 3-6th, Romania), headliners for remaining two days could be Sam Smith + Lorde and The Killers.

Sam Smith ain’t headlining Sziget.

Sam Smith will play in Bucharest in June, no chance they're going to be at Untold

My mistake then!
Still there was a teaser by Untold, maybe change of artist's plans is the reason why they are still holding their announcement.

what day/ time do we think the announcement will be then

Your guess is as good as ours.

However, I'll go with 9am on Tuesday 7th for no reason other than I think it'll be earlier in the week rather than later as Leaks has already started providing clues.

My bet is on Thursday 10am (9am UK time), like last time.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
    • May   1. Josiah and The Bonnevilles - As Is 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me 3. The Coral - 388
    • That would be my dream trio based on bands that have been rumoured
