you could have the festival in Budapest rather than in Lisbon or Paris or Helsinki, you would not tell the difference once you're in

I know what you mean, but as a Hungarian I'm so happy that for just one week I can pretend that I live in a better place. Let me imagine that I live in Helsinki, Paris, Lisbon. Just. For. One. Week.

It's incredible that Sziget (and Pride, etc) can take place here with the direction this country is going.

Focus on the numbers 1015

We’re getting closer, time for a short AMA ☮️

Have all of the headliners been mentioned here in the forum (in any way) or will there be some unexpected name? (In any announcement batch)

ok no announcement, but will Leaks crush my dreams...again?

six headliners that would kinda make sense:
Billie Eilish / David Guetta / Blur / Red Hot Chili Peppers / The Strokes / Sam Smith

six undercards I'd love to hear:
Cigarettes After Sex / girl in red / Kavinsky / London Grammar / Fred Again / M83

six other names from 2020 lineup because it was goated and I'm still not over it
FKA Twigs / Daughter / Of Monsters And Men / Keane / Empire Of The Sun (not officially announced but Leaks confirmed them here) / Tom Walker

AMA: how wrong was I? in eighteenth, if possible

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
