The Telegraph reporting they've spent four times their performance fee on the production alone, which seems like Coldplay-esque levels of commitment to the bit.

Or go massively up thier own ass with asthetics over music.  We will see in 48 hours..

Made a comment on the Neil Young thread about how he may lose casuals in the first half-hour if he doesn't have too many of his big hitters. It's why I imagine at least two of the band's proper smashes here rock up in the first five songs - Chocolate feels a very safe bet.

If you had told me when they were being rumoured to headline that they were going to be one of my most anticipated sets of the weekend, I absolutely wouldn’t have believed you. Very excited to see what they do and I hope they knock it out the park!

She's American feels rogue as a shout to me, but far from implausible.

Think the 2022 R+L sets - the very start of that At Their Very Best era - captured them near the peak of their festival-shaping powers. There's so little filler and nearly all killer in there.

    • SFA next year was my thinking too, they seem to be doing every other festival bar GM this year which seems odd, so I suspected it would either be a secret SFA headliner this year or something big for 2027. We'll see though!
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgdm008emro   Knebworth licence granted and until 3am also:   “The licence allows events for up to 125,000 people, with live music and dance performances permitted until 03:00.”
    • But but but Coachella, have a day off mate. It probably does drive them insane like the blood orange round stage you mentioned it stayed up the entire day so if you wanted to see anyone in that tent you had a massive area in the centre where you couldn’t stand. Its not unusual to want to have as much space for people as possible in the field

    • Same as how reform have helped to fill up the prisons and then object to the govt trying to fix things (as long as the farage rioters don't get early release).
