Back to the show. Strong plus for no new material, and I have defended their right to indulge in their song selection.

But the run between fallingforyou and I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) is a tough watch for neutrals, coupled with its extended break for a trouser change. There's arguably only one bonafide biggie in there, though Be My Mistake does push up close and was prettily effective. (As was People on the other end of the spectrum.)

I Couldn't Be More in Love was one of the bigger whiffs in retrospect. I understand blooding She's American was a fan-favourite early on, but the former making in-roads with plenty of other hits left on the shelf felt a misstep in a show that otherwise was crackingly honed.

I was actually thinking the very same but also they may have thought we should play these songs to please our long term fanbase.

Just a pity they didn’t get a longer slot, the more I think about it the more I can’t believe they missed out bangers such as Oh Caroline, I’m in love with you, Looking for somebody to love, Sincerity is scary, Settle down, Girls, ……etc etc.

I don’t think we’ll hear anything now until the next single announcement which could be towards the end of the year.
Im not sure they care enough about big stadium shows, they sell out multiple arena nights.  Making good music seems to be the focus.
