    2024 Headliners

Blur, to make up for last years cancellation?
  2. Saw some great sets in there, including one of my faves, hot hot heat, in 2015.
  3. I can’t see there being many (if any) further big names. Since any of these acts played last time, Victorious has moved from 2 full days + common to 3 full days. They made a conscious decision last year to spend the same money on more acts spread over the weekend.

    Radiohead 2022?

The Smile have to headline the Park. I should have asked Thom at q&a for new album last week.
  5. Lack of (leaked) dance acts is strange. Unless they have gone cheap on this front and the names are underwhelming. Let’s see what the announcement brings.
  6. Prof Green, James bay and razorlight 2019 (4 festivals ago from 2024 festival due to COVID) The kooks 2021 (3 festivals ago) sugababes 2022 (2 festivals ago) it feels like they all played more recently
  7. Disappointing additions. Most of those have played in the last 4 festivals and some as recently as 2 years ago. Festivals in general struggling to book diverse acts this year, so not a surprise I suppose.
  8. Anyone have any ‘wish list’ for who they would like to see added. I have two separate lists as follows never gonna happen but are around - the smile - soulwax - 2manydjs (dj set) - the kid Laroi More likely to happen and are around - the zutons - everything everything - libertines - basement jaxx (dj) Any of the above I would be happy.
  9. Just to clarify my point above. Don’t buy off social media. My point is there is no official ‘cheaper’ reseller like Twickets, so full price is the only real option. Organisers decide whether they are listed on Twickets or not. I suspect the victorious organisers know there a decent number of no shows, but they have paid so no loss to them.
  10. There are always people on the Victorious Facebook groups the days around the festival selling off tickets because they can’t go. I have not seen it listed on Twickets and currently not listed for this year either.

    BLUR? Just Maybe?

Damon has stated himself that he messed up by not engaging with the crowd and walking people through it a little more. He has improved in this respect since and always makes a point to intro special guests on Gorillaz sets. As to whether Glastonbury. I know for a fact they were only offered Coachella the day before the line up announcement (last minute replacement) and as of end of December, has no plans to play. Obv now they are active they may decide to do glasto if offered, but Damon is off to India with Jamie to start a Gorillaz record and he has an opera in the summer.
  12. Student accomodation is on sale from tomorrow, Monday 8th.
  13. Early Jan (I think the 6th last year). Keep an eye on the victorious website and Twitter
  14. I think they have this clash about right. Would expect 50/50 split for these headliners. I suspect one of the common allocated bands on the Friday will be ‘special guests’. I am hoping this is Louis Tomlinson rather than idles as I am very intrigued to see idles > snow patrol transition.
  15. Easier visualisation of clashes for those interested (as far as known). Just to add, they announced Ben Howard as headliner of castle stage this time last year and he was on 3rd castle in the end so don’t take clashes as gospel.
  16. Whilst I am eating humble pie on my earlier post, joint headline usually mean longer sets. Sub at Victorious is usually 1 hour, but I can see Snow patrol playing longer (75 - 85). The only previous example of joint headliners I can remember is Specials / Two door who played 75 and 85 mins respectively.
  17. Last year only jamiroquai announced in December as headliner.
  18. Interesting as a first wave announcement if true. If you added Pulp to the Saturday that’s the best victorious so far. I am still not convinced by the font and style of that picture is quite right. I also can’t bring myself to believe that Idles are either going to play below snow patrol (common) or Louis Tomlinson (castle). They are usually quite particular on where / when they play with on festival line ups. I was sure they were locked on for Reading next year following new album. Saturday is too lightweight too. I am one the biggest Jamie T apologists around but that will be the lowest main stage turn out in Victorious history if he headlines. lastly, they have never announced all headliners before Xmas. Why start now?
  19. Fatboy will be announced this week with a few others. Now we have one confirmed. What do we think on headliners fatboy + pulp + ?
  20. and Royal Blood. In fact, last year was an outlier in recent history where they had not had at least one ‘newish’ headliner. Still think it we meant to be 1975 on Sunday, but they pulled and Mumfords were then booked.
  21. Hozier similar gamble to Jamie T this year. Even with strong undercard, Jamie T did not sell it out.
  22. Can't see all 3 of the above. 2/3 maybe. Remember last year Jamiroquai headlined one day and he is a relatively cheap booking. Two big guns, one hand pistol again I reckon. Pulp, Noel G, Snow Patrol (based on no intel)
  23. Greenday announced this week?
  24. Pulp would be the biggest act victorious have secured so far. Fingers crossed the superstruct links to Oya turn out to be true. Pulp + Noel + prodigy would be best victorious of all time. With price increases it’s possible.
