I agree with the above thinking. if we therefore think about who that might be (other than the Who, already mentioned) Jamie T - victorious took the headliner from Finsbury Park last year (fender). Jamie T is struggling to sell out Finsbury Park which might be why they have delayed. I am not sure it would be the most popular choice (I would personally love it, everyone else I know would be meh). the 1975 - announced (and sold out) Finsbury Park since last vic announcement. Were mentioned earlier in this thread. Continues the vibe of young(ish) band as Sunday headliners. I am pretty confident no Liam or Noel.

I think the decision to remove the car park and not announce an alternative yet is going to backfire and it will be carnage in the local area in and around the site as people panic for places to park. It's not as if the site is anywhere near a train station (30 mins walk min) and the taxi drivers hate the festival weekend and many local taxi drivers don't work that weekend to avoid it. Whilst I support all the environmental drivers for removing the car park, there is currently no known alternative for 20k people to get on site that used to use the car park.

They were 2nd on at OnBlackheath a few years ago and played a very hit centric set, so looks like they mix it up for festivals (setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-divine-comedy/2018/blackheath-common-albury-england-be9a926.html)

Noel already has a gig on Saturday in Manchester. As Friday night headliner announced, Noel can only do Sunday and I do expect that it is more likely a 'modern' band similar to Royal blood and Sam Fender in that slot, so not sure it is going to happen. I still think we might get Capaldi as Sunday headliner. Divine Comedy need to do an hour set, 2nd on castle stage, surely (ala Kula Shaker / Fratellis). Awesome with the sun going down on a summers day. If they were 'special guest' early slot I think it would have stated this (as it did for Sugababes this year)

So if today's announcement is the same as last year we should get Friday night headliner(s) - Jamiroquai + ? Some of the rest of the weekend line up including subs, but no other headliners 15 mins to go....
