It was Daniel Avery not Jon Hopkins - though either would be Great - JH and Haai - did do a track together "baby were acending"

Tried to put together what's likely and has been rumoured so far. Couldn't be bothered with the rest as it would be purely guesswork and unavoidably a wishlist that's way too strong. Went out of my way to avoid Elton/Prodigy/Fred clash so I don't cause too much stress, although I think it's very likely at least two of them will.

P: AM / LDR / Royal Blood
O: Prodigy / Wet Leg
WH: Stromae

P: GNR / Lizzo / Capaldi
O: Sam Smith / NxWorries
WH: Federico Otra Vez

P: Elton / Pulp / Blondie / Rod
O: QOTSA / Black Keys
WH: Rosalía

Most of the below is based on acts I've been trying to listen to, but know very little about, on the assumption that I think most of them are free to play (as and when I attempted to check at least).  So, massive blind-spots in what I've been listening to (based on my poor taste), so probably lots of stuff missing, but any that you think definitely aren't playing let me know so that I can kick some of them off my playlist.

I've probably put as much effort into making the below neat with bold & under-lining as I have in terms of clashes and who's available on what days.  Christ, massive respect to anyone who's tried to do these before.  Who should play what stage, at what time of day, availability on some days but not others, gender split etc etc.  Fuck it, the Saw Doctors definitely said something about being happy to take some of the GnR crowd, but they'd like to be as far away from them as possible.

Fri: Suede -> RAYE -> Anne-Marie -> FKA Twigs/easy life/Wet Leg -> Maisie Peters -> Self Esteem -> Pulp -> SZA

Sat: Peggy Gou -> Mimi Webb -> The Big Moon -> The Chicks -> Bon Iver -> Becky Hill -> Aphex Twin/Lil Nas X -> ROSALIÁ

Sun: Yves Tumor -> Joy Crookes -> PinkPantheress -> Yard Act/Jamie T -> Holly Humberstone -> CHVRCHES -> Lizzo/Fred Again../Bleachers -> Elton John

Damn, that would be one hell of a lineup! Appreciate the time that went into this.

Rod Stewart into Blondie into Pulp into Elton John has, in the space of about eight or so hours, got an extortionate amount of singalong bangers.

Yes. Blondie could do a number of different slots I suppose and "third down pyramid" wouldn't be my first thought, but I put them there solely for the banger combo.

QOTSA are subbing Elton I've heard.

    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
    • Dug into Milkweed some more and this was a brilliant suggestion. Thank you 🙂   This will come as no surprise, but I have been told that there are some band substitutions to come.
    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
