I had the despatch email Friday but didn’t arrive today. Hopefully Monday and luckily I’m WFH so can catch postman. The link in the email doesn’t work but reassuringly the Royal Mail tracking works if you cut and paste the reference into their tracker. Currently in Nottingham (needs to get to London …)

That link has not worked for years, they should actually fix it one year.

Don’t worry. My RM tracking didn’t work until they’d been delivered.

Hello - hoping to enlist the hive mind! Glasto tickets arrived last week but without our Worthy View parking ticket. Our WV booking was made under a friend's name, but we bought our own parking ticket under my registration a few weeks later. I expect as the parking ticket was bought a few weeks after re-sale it might get sent out separately, but I wondered whether anyone has any experience with this?

Edit: to clarify we bought our main festival tickets via resale

WV veteran here. WV parking passes are sent separately to tickets. If you bought it using your own registration, it will be sent to you, not the person who booked the tents. The WV passes are sent via standard post and normally arrive around mid June. You should have them a week before at the absolute latest.

Perfect, this is so helpful thanks! First time WV-ers here, really excited to try it. Now tell me...how bad is the hill really?! 😄

The first time I climbed it was in 2016 and I thought I was going to die (and I only went as far as Strummerville!).  The next year I climbed the same hill with a hop, skip and a jump!  Amazing the difference mud can make!

I agree with others. The steps in 2016 were treacherous and quite a slog up but they are no longer in use. The new long and winding road up is easier though a bit stony, never done it when it’s wet so don’t know how it will stand up to a really wet one. Views from the path are lovely. One suggestion, Take a small bit of groundsheet with you for the small outer part (entrance) of the tent if it’s a scout tent. Somewhere to leave boots etc overnight and stop you taking mud, grass etc into the sleeping part of the tent.

Trouble is with the new path, you lose the view from the top (where the seats and vendors used to be).

It’s quite steep, but fairly short. The path zigzags a bit which makes it easier. Take it in stages, have a breather and enjoy the views over the site. 10 mins and you’ll be up it, if you’re of average fitness. Up is easier up than down in my opinion, have seen a few falls as people slip on the fine gravel, so hold on to the wooden handrail. I think the drag up past Strummerville to Pennard Hill Gate is actually worse, especially in a muddy year (which we WON’T have in 2025). Biggest tip: Use the Pennards lock up, so you don’t have to “nip back” to  your tent during the day. It’s not a nip unless you’re 21 and have long legs 😬
