There is no obligation for an mp to attend parliament. Sinn Fein MPs don't attend.

He clearly wouldn’t be doing constituency work. I want my MP to be working on my behalf not jetting off around the world on holidays or vanity projects.

You may want that, but it's not how our system works. If you aren't happy with MP attendance you vote out in a general election. There is no recall system in place for constituent dissatisfaction.

I know how our system works. I was merely pointing out how it’s a joke that MPs can swan off on holiday instead of going to Parliament when it’s sitting. Silly me for thinking that wouldn’t be such an outrageous thought.

I agree. I think there should be a proper recall system in place, but Turkeys don't vote for Christmas. The current system allows an MP to win an election and get paid the full amount even if they don't do anything.

The next Tory scandal is brewing nicely. It’s rumour that Braverman didn’t have the required security clearances for doing her job and could be why she thought it was ok to send sensitive information on a non secure server.

Where you seen this?

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
