We might as well just have the 1922 Committee decide who’ll be our Prime Minister for the rest of time now, that’s pretty much what happens anyway.

"Could you imagine me becoming the Prime Minister of Pakistan or Saudi Arabia? No. Eighty five per cent of England are white English people and they want a Prime Minister who reflects that. I can’t just go to India and be the Prime Ministerthere can I?"
- some racist guy who called into LBC yesterday claiming Rishi didn’t “love Britain enough to be PM.”

oh lordy lord. I’m glad I left the UK.

Hope Sunak is going to bin some of that stupid shit he was saying over the summer to win over tory members.

That’s what he’s really like.

Deeply depressing. We are well overdue a non-white PM, though, even if he is a Tory c**t so, the racists will just have to stop being such snowflakes about it.

Where did you move out of interest? Leaving looks more and more appealing to me.

I know nothing about him except he is a financer/investor bloke....but these people always make mistakesm along the way, it's all about taking a punt,  risk etc. Anyway...he's just saying brexit has fucked us...and maybe he's right on that one...

The members should share the blame for voting to crash our economy to keep Sunak out, they in my view have lost the right to have a say.

they just had to pick a better pm than johnson, and they picked truss. this time they just have to pick someone better than truss.

Portugal! 🙂

Sounds like a nice choice...

In the list of countries which are easy to move to https://wherecani.live/blog/view/easiest-countries-to-move-to/

Also listed as one of the safer places to live (although some of you obviously have danger as your middle name)

Are we forgetting the wildfires and water crisis?

Had a mate who went over there in the summer, absolutely loved it and ended up spending more time looking at estate agents rather than on the beach. Came back and was evangelical about it, sounded lovely: easy to get a cheap place with land off grid, but water is a big issue.

Not enough political popcorn drama for me, I'd clearly be bored.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
