Gove seems to be the one the centrists are organising behind. I wonder if he's going to be the one to challenge in the next few months.

He always wanted the top job so I wouldn’t be surprised.

People say he is actually competent, so he might not be the worst?

he has the brains to realise you can't do what is being done at the moment.

This week could get nasty. There seem to be alot of twitter rumours Credit Suisse and/or Deutsche Bank might be about to do what British pension funds nearly did when the market opens tomorrow.

It was always the rumour why the ECB waited so long to start raising rates.

Day 1 of Tory conference and their Chairman has already come out told people to just get a higher paying job. Apparently it’s that easy!

Elections in Brazil start today...could be Bolsonaro out and the return of Lula. Voting is compulsory in Brazil. Very important elections for them and the world.

Bolsonaro is already threatening to refuse to go quietly a la Trump 2020/21 with this worrying impulse of people in a democracy acting as though results don't count when they lose. If it is over in one ballot today, it threatens to get ugly quickly.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
