I’m at work … Asda have changed social media banners and Asda FM is off … meanwhile so far I’ve managed to avoid all talk of the death … by the end of the 10 days I’m sure to have had a heated discussion as my views don’t conform to the standard view … or do they ? . Wonder where we are as a nation without the need to do what is seen as the right thing …. Hopefully a monarchy debate comes along once the passions die down

maybe that's just royal family mourning...not the obilgatory nation mourning sad music only thing...

I think that is separate from the national mourning which should continue till the funeral.

Which can continue until the funeral if that's what you chose to do.

There's no should about it.

I mean ‘should’ as in what the current plans are not whether people should mourn.

About 55-60% are monarchist, 20-30% are republican, rest undecided.

I reckon a lot are probably don't really care that much, especially amongst younger people, but above is if you had to pick.

Is it a day off though. That’s the crucial information people want to know.

Yes, I think that is a bank holiday. Actually I’m not sure guidance just says business owners may consider closing on the day of the funeral.

Charles has said a period of royal mourning from now until seven days after Elizabeth's funeral - date to be confirmed.

Is funeral going to be sooner than we think...or is this thing going to drag on for 17 days?

the artist formally known as prince.

I had plans to go to the pub later to meet some friends. Am I allowed to carry on as normal? Will the pub even be open?

I’m happy I had the day booked off work, the conversations today would be tedious.

We’re open 🙂

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
