well yeah...and if things not visibly improving by next election a lot of those red wall voters who leant tories a vote in 2019 will vote for someone else (or not vote) next time.

They have to take the current opportunity with two hands, who knows if they’ll get another. Throw the kitchen sink at forcing him out and then back themselves to beat either Truss or Sunak. I don’t think either of them are particularly standout politicians, and neither would be popular in the way Johnson was. Throw the kitchen sink at winning the red wall back and some seats in Scotland.

well they can keep calling him to resign and briniging it up in parliament and to the media, but it is ultimately in the hands of tory MPs, and if Johnson stays eventually the news will move on and people will get bored of it. Just have to see what happens with the local elections in May.

bhe won't resign, most that'll happen is that there'll be enough letters to the 1922 to trigger a leadership election.
