And everybody knows Gardener’s World has those fire deep cut inclusions that we’re all hankering for so enough of that!
Gilgamesh69
Not quite related to 2020, but Acclaimedmusic.net have finally updated after over two years of waiting. Added music from 2018 and 2019. Alright and TPaB are #1 song and album of the 2010s

Great, raw record.

They are like the opposite of most lists where the odd commercial release is put in to be controversial.
SwedgeAntilles
I'd heard of about 16 of the acts on the Quietus list this year. A new record.
SwedgeAntilles
Not albums, but tracks from the Guardian. Can't say any of these are anywhere near my longlist https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/nov/30/the-20-best-songs-of-2020?utm_term=Autofeed&CMP=twt_gu&utm_medium&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1606743096

I have to say while I think it's been a pretty good year for albums I haven't had many singles that I have gotten hung up on this year. Don't know if it's because there haven't been as many bangers or if lockdown etc has changed the way I have listened to music. And yes I knew way more of The Quietus list than normal but even so my main response to the list is who??

priest17
That Quietus list is like a Smash Hits list compared to normal. Some good picks though, I'll give it a proper read later to find what I've missed.

Came out the last weekend in March IIRC so I think you're probably alright feeling justified missing it, was an odd time.

They didn’t seem to get that much coverage on release but judging by all of these lists, they’re the critical sleeper hit of the year.
