Says over 70s when I click the link.

Yep still accepts over 65 details when you go through all the questions. I tried my own details and said i'm not due the vaccine yet.

Is there a press conference today? Might have gone live early or something.

I had only had three friends round....but yeh 2m distancing was a struggle I must admit.

I remember the first time meeting up with 4 friends in a park (+ my GF, so 6 in total) when outdoor gatherings were brought in back in June.

Everyone started out well intentioned, sitting 2m apart in our respective couples. By the time the first couple of boxes of tinnies were empty, we were moving closer together to chat. By the end of the afternoon it was hugs all round.

I find it hard to believe many people genuinely perform social distancing when they meet with their friends.

There's been some noises it would be available "from next week" so I'm guessing it's just gone live early on the site.

I just found it easier not to meet anyone at all!

That said we had people round in our garden to sit with the chimea in December (girlfriend organised it) and a few drinks...all was well until people needed the toilet and were faced with either coming inside our house (not allowed) or pissing on our new fence.

Or a queue jumper deniying the vaccination someone older or more vuberable depending on which was you look at it.

If you were being a contrarian bellend, yes that is how you could look at it.

There appear to be thousands and thousands of slots. We want everyone vaccinated as soon as possible. This obviously applies to older and more vulnerable people, so they can book right now - in no way are they being stopped or denied a vaccine.

By your logic, we should go in exactly the perfect order so no one even 1 day younger gets it before someone 1 day older. At that speed of logistics, it will take years.

The over 70's have all been contacted, and also told from Monday to get in touch and book for themselves.

The centre I booked for had every time slot available for tomorrow. Doesn't suggest anyone is missing out.

Vaxometer

Target 15,000,000
Thru 14,012,224
Required 987,776

Yesterday's return 503,116

Days to target 3

Required rate 329,259 (↓ from 372,723 yesterday)

Think we’ll hit the target on Sunday.

Credit where it’s due the vaccine rollout has been a huge success.

I think there’s a few on here who need to get their forks ready for some humble pie...

I do notice young @Copperface has been strangely quiet about the vax rollout after about 100 posts of saying they wouldn’t make it.
