As much as we would have moaned, they’d almost certainly draw a massive crowd.

We’re very much into parallel universe territory now, but that would surely have led to a rejigging of a few other stages?

Spice Girls v Dua Lipa wouldn’t have made a whole lot of sense.

it's all bollocks, I'm pretty sure.

Remember, the only reason for thinking the Spice Girls might play is because Mel B said Glastonbury was cancelled which implied they were set to play.

But as Mel B was talking bollocks (again) when she said it was cancelled, there's no reason to think they were going to be on the bill in the first place.

Oh yeah, I don’t think for a second it’s a serious proposition. Talking hypothetically here.

Have seen a suggestion that the Spice Girls were approached as a replacement for Macca.

Then again it's probably bollocksΒ same as Mel B saying Glastonbury was cancelled.

Edit - misread the post

    • I saw this just after it was posted yesterday, I barely paid attention to it. I didn't realise it had blown up in the way it has. I'm sure (kind of) that Sziget will be unaffected - it brings in billions of huf over a very short period. Its consumption, compared to the rest of Budapest, will be tiny in reality. That said, nothing wrong with encouraging people to use less energy whether it's now or in the future.
