Been in the position of trying in the resale before, missed out last year, but luckily got them in general this year. I know how it feels like to be in this position, so I’m more than happy to help anyone out in the resale.

Hi All

I do a lot of lurking rather than commenting on here I know! I have learnt a lot from yourselves so thanks for that! But I've seen a lot of mentions of secret sales before. How do they work? do you get a tip off and the seetickets Glastonbury page randomly becomes active again with tickets available? My success rate at trying to get tickets every year is very low so need all the help I can get!

Secret sales don’t seem to happen anymore, it’s the official resale only.

If it works and you report back that it works, they’re going to get a sack of letters a day from eFestival posters with similar stories ?

If you're going to send this then can I recommend sending pictures of the hat with the letter? Especially any screen grabs you might have of it on the BBC.

oh yes ... i was going to put those on there for sure .... cant do any harm and I do know people who have had replies before thanks

maybe I could blackmail emily when her crew made me literally jump out of the flipping way from her off road vichicle she and a few other was in, almost ran me over (can't remember the year, but i was at the back of the other stage watching (whilst walking) elbow at the other stage)

they didnt even notice!!!

      sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.

      Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.

      I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
