Yea I can completely understand the frustration!

I've gone Gold and now plan to hang around and contribute long after T-Day so maybe in a few years I'll be on the other side of the frustration with the 'regulars'.

Disgusting levels of bum licking for personal gain.

Hang your head in shame

I understand helping people is a wonderful thing, but please be weary of sharing bank details with new time posters as I believe there have in the past been fraudulent accounts made and people have lost money.

Important point, thank you.

I’m very keen to team up but worried about the risks.

Hello everyone. I am asking for your help please.

I have been volunteering for Festival Medical Services for 10 years and would like to bring my 2 best friends for the 50th birthday celebration, to help celebrate my wife's 50 th at the farm.

Their details are

Mrs Sharon Pierce 2112685378 TQ32AD

Mrs Michele Farrell 1772621398 TQ46HA

Thank you so much we are happy to help others as well x

This might be controversial, but... while I get helping out friends, I’m not sure how helping out strangers on the boards is a good deed, because all you’re doing is reducing the chances of the people you’re not helping or who haven’t managed to recruit helpers. It’s nice to want to help others but It is kind of at the expense of others.

It is a well meaning action- it’s only this year I’ve started pondering it differently (motivated by plummeting optimism about Sunday!?)

id prefer the place filled with efesters more than Glasto chatters for example ... and you develop somewhat of a rapport with some members too ... but yes tickets are finite ... but what counts as a stranger /friend is a challenging dividing line

true, but humans being humans. People who work together will generally get better results. If you don't do it fine, others will, can't fight nature

Applying for tickets at all is selfish in th extreme.

Depends on how you want to define 'strangers' I feel like I know a lot of people on here who I haven't met. Least you know those tickets are going to a good home if you sort one of them. This place is a great community for like minded people and you dont who would have the ticket otherwise could be someone equally as nice or an idiot pissing everywhere, leaving their tent and whatever else. Granted I have been twice sorted by lovely people off here!

You could say the secretglasto account is giving people an unfair advantage over others, the year I missed out on a ticket and manned that account, I remember watching the webcam at the bbc introducing stage just after I tweeted out the information and seeing all the people rush to tent looking happy. Even though I was missing out I was still able to be a part of  it due to this place and helping out each other this a good thing imo.

Even the text alert on here for the secret sale that worked so well in 2015 gave people an advantage. Difficult to know where to draw the line

Indeed it is! Whenever we celebrate getting a ticket we're essentially celebrating someone else's misfortune, as we've deprived them of the ability to go!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
